A little bit worried as there are so many negative comments but they are our final option otherwise weq need to drive at least onr more hour to find a legal stay. We were welcomed by two ladies from different generations, and both of them were very friendly, even though we didn’t share a common language. The campground offers the basic facilities you need, I don’t have any major complaints. Considering the price is much lower than so-called “luxury” and no more availability camping sites, I think it’s a fair deal.

A nice, small campsite in itself. Great as a stopover. The owners are friendly, and the restrooms are super clean. What bothered us a lot while we were in our tent was the noise from the highway, train line, and helicopter.

My partner and I just stayed at this campsite for three nights, and we were pleasantly surprised! We arrived without a reservation and were able to check in without any problems. The setting is picturesque, the welcome is warm, the staff friendly, and we felt right at home! The only downside is the construction work nearby, which wakes you up quite early (around 7 a.m.). As for the rest, we were able to take advantage of this leg of our road trip to pitch our tent and enjoy the surrounding activities! We recommend this campsite 🏕️

This campsite is perfectly fine if you just need a place to stay for one night. It’s not the quietest location, and there are definitely quite a few mosquitoes around, but for a short stopover that’s manageable. If you’re on a longer trip, passing through, or bikepacking, it does the job and gives you a spot to rest before continuing your journey. It might not be the most comfortable for a longer holiday, but for a quick overnight stay it’s enough.

You can still find a campsite here even in the evening. Sure, the location isn't ideal due to the construction site, but if you're not a late riser, it won't be a problem. The only drawback is that the grassy area is a bit sloping. There are also flat areas, but those arriving later should be prepared for a slight slope. The restrooms could be a bit cleaner, and the soap could be refilled more often.

It's difficult to rate a Dolomite campsite in the Bolzano region: they're always full, too large, and more oriented toward "holiday resorts." But this campsite is ideal for the itinerant traveler. Located on a large field on the side of a mountain, it doesn't have defined pitches, and it's difficult to find a flat space of just a few square meters to pitch a tent. It's expensive for the services it offers, but compared to the other campsites in the area, it offers the best value.

I was on a bikepacking tour. From Innsbruck to Varna, about 95 km. Lake Vahrn was my first stop. I arrived without a reservation. There was a meadow for bikepackers, and I immediately felt at home there. Then I had a warm shower, let my clothes dry by the garden fence, and there was a cozy "beer garden" where I could eat really good shepherd's noodles. I'm grateful that there are still such easy, uncomplicated places for us bikepackers. I highly recommend this spot. The manager there is very nice and attentive.

Tent area is on the hill, so quite challenging to find a flat place. Arrive earlier to secure it. Lake is closed, you can’t even come to it now. The lady that manages camping is nice and helpful

The Lac campsite doesn't have a lake, as it's closed. The main noise here is the nearby road and the freight trains, even at night.

We only wanted to stay one night. We ended up staying three. We had a great spot. The lake is currently closed. Ammunition from World War I was found eight years ago. You have to be able to handle the noise of the construction site. But we were out all day, and in the evenings there was only train and Brenner Autobahn traffic. It didn't bother us. The shower and toilet were great. You could also head straight to the mountains.
