It's worth noting that Luserna, a quaint and isolated mountain village, boasts a remarkable dining scene, with at least four noteworthy establishments, including Ferdy.
This historic restaurant has been tastefully renovated and is professionally managed. The young chef offers traditional Trentino dishes, many of which have been expertly reinterpreted. Friendly service and moderate prices.

We stopped in today, almost by chance, after a long walk.
We were pleasantly surprised by the location, the service, the food, and the kindness of all the waitresses.
We'll definitely be back.

I stopped in Luserna (November 14, 2025) after a hike in the mountains. I was looking for a place that was open, which, given that it was November and therefore low season, wasn't a given.
I easily found this bar/restaurant near the village's main square, and I must admit I enjoyed both the food—excellent polenta with goulash—and the company of the locals. Over coffee, it was a pleasure to chat about the local history of Luserna and the German-speaking islands. I'll have to return to try the other dishes on the menu, which the very kind owner explained to me is usually more extensive than what was available yesterday with the start of the new season.

A quaint restaurant offering cuisine that's a little different from the usual, yet still maintains the traditional flavors. I had an excellent roast beef with bay leaf mayonnaise, grilled porcini mushrooms, and Trentin Grana Padano cheese. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, with a special mention for Francesca, the waiter, for her kindness and friendliness (since I'm not a big fan of cheese, she made me put it aside!). Recommended.
