Duca di Castelmonte In Trapani

Visited in early December, unfortunately for only one night. A wonderful place in the countryside to stay for one or more days, just 9 minutes from Trapani. Excellent, genuine Sicilian hospitality, humble and honest, not only from Nicky the receptionist but also from the entire team, from the chambermaid to the waiter and the gardener. Not to mention, of course, the owners who are... fantastic and attentive to your well-being. The place is beautiful and open to everyone, whether you're traveling in a campervan or staying at the hotel. There are plenty of shaded or sunny spots, depending on your mood. Several activities are available: tennis, basketball, swimming pool, pétanque, children's play area, and walks within the well-lit grounds. For campervans, it's best to book in advance as there are only 4 or 5 spaces among the olive and orange trees. A proper bathroom, a sink for washing dishes, and an outdoor cold-water shower. Hot water is available in the bathroom and for washing dishes. Breakfast and meals are available at the restaurant. A friendly, family atmosphere that can become quite festive. Honestly, the value for money is more than reasonable. The evening I arrived, there was a song and theater performance that I saw. If you have the chance to see their show anywhere in Sicily, this amateur troupe of over 50s, "50 o più," don't hesitate; the performance is worthy of professionals. I recommend this place and this troupe of artists 1000%. See for yourself in the photos.

Beautiful agriturismo near Trapani, very good food, especially the pizza, served by friendly staff.

The place is truly enchanting, very clean and well-kept. We stayed in a camper, a little oasis of peace...we had dinner at the restaurant and that experience was also absolutely positive. A special thanks to Stella, who takes care of the welcome and reception...very kind and super professional.

There were only two of us campers with a single bathroom. It was very good in these conditions, but probably less so if there were a lot of people. (It would be good to trim the trees to make it easier to maneuver with the campervan.) The welcome was warm and the restaurant was excellent. We had half a pizza left, and the waitress spontaneously offered us a box to take away. Well located for getting to Erice.

Quiet place, until mealtime. The trattoria's quality-price ratio is quite good, although it's a bit pricey for the stay.

Wonderful people, food and entertainment

A truly stunning location. Recommended by a friend, I went there for dinner. Delicious pizzas and fair prices. I highly recommend it.

We were there one year ago, in June. We keep very fond memories of the days we spent there with out two young kids. They still remember a lot of details from their days "in the castle" :-) Having breakfast in the little "terrace" in front of our house, enjoying the silence and the surrounding nature, felt like a lost eden. The girls enjoyed the animals, the playground while we waited to be served dinner, and exploring the surroundings. We enjoyed the food, the very simple but very beautiful traditional architecture, and the relaxed vibe. The downside: little and dark kitchen and many mosquitoes (nothing that can't be solved with a morning bath in repellent :-D). We really recommend it for families.
