Everything was exceptional, among the starters I particularly loved the bowler hat, but it was all very good. As the main course, cuttlefish with exceptional artichokes but I have to say that the first course of fish beats everything. The best fish first course I've ever eaten - mixed pasta cooked in MANDATORY fish soup! 🩵 super!

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who works in Naples. Excellent advice..., excellent fish, fast service, attentive staff ready to satisfy all requests!, except that of opening in Genoa too!!!

I had the pleasure of dining at the Diego Ascensione restaurant, located in the picturesque Piazzetta Ascensione, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience. Run by two young guys full of passion and talent, this fish restaurant is a real gem. The freshness of the food is evident in every dish. Every bite is an explosion of flavours, thanks to the innovative and skilful combination of the ingredients. The cuisine manages to surprise and delight, bringing a breath of fresh air to the gastronomic panorama. Particular praise goes to the kindness of the staff. Every staff member is friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Their professionalism and courtesy contribute to creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Diego Ascensione is a place where quality and innovation meet, and I can't wait to return to savor more delights. Congratulations to the young managers for their commitment and creativity!

Locale piccolissimo in una bella piazzetta a Chiaia gestito con passione da una squadra di ragazzi preparati e volenterosi. La cucina minuscola prepara piatti deliziosi (menù piuttosto limitato ma ogni settimana diverso) davvero indimenticabili. Il locale dentro e' davvero piccolo, forse e' meglio in dehors esterno riscaldato.

Perhaps it is due to the competition from the classic pizza and all the other culinary excellences of the Neapolitan tradition. Incidentally, you can already eat very well in Campania, let alone (I don't mind the other provincial capitals and their other local areas) in Naples where there is a very respectable offering. And it's not that this data should be like a shadow on everything that is new, organic or coming from other nations and places. If you have never eaten Seitan, it is understandable that you will tend not to enter a place like this. But let's say that if it is true, as it is, that an evaluation is not given only on the dishes that are served, then as the stars above suggest, there is also the environment, there is also the additional services that are offered (today I saw a football match), there is also the state of the bathrooms (I would say more than excellent), the courtesy of the staff or if there are special offers like today's: aperitif with bruschetta, olives and other appetizers plus a glass of wine (red to me) only €10. And this is enough to understand the value of the offer because in a Wine Bar a red wine by the glass (it depends on the type of wine) can cost around 6 euros alone (and we are not talking about the best qualities). And then just to make you feel the freshness, I can tell you that at the entrance there are boxes like those you see at greengrocers, full of fruit and vegetables. So you can be sure that these are not things that come out of cold storage. And listen to me: I worked in a supermarket and I also saw cockroaches, those not very nice big, red cockroaches.
