Torte e Farinata ..and located in Piazza dei Truogoli di Santa Brigida at number 16. It is one of the oldest and most extraordinary places in the historic center, which deserves to be visited and where it can be nice to stop to rest... and eat what they once called the street meal, because you entered and took away eating at open with friends. In fact, here you can find pumpkin pie, farinata, meatloaf, cheese focaccia, fried anchovies, and panissa, potato meatballs, courgette pie, pesto lasagna, and stuffed chicken. Then going out to eat in the square accompanied by a good bottle of wine, or even beer. The prices are very cheap, ranging from 10 to 13 euros.

Yesterday I was in this beautiful delicatessen from which I took a TooGoodToGo magic box (an app against food waste) in order to bring it to the homeless in Principe. The shop assistant/owner added an extra to the package to contribute to the 'good deed'. 5 stars, in addition to participating in the TGTG anti-waste initiative, he has shown generosity.

Extraordinary environment, a slice of old Genoa in the center! Worth a stop for context; cakes and fillings without particular emphasis, fairly flat flavours, perhaps due to the need to please everyone... for example in the pumpkin pie I would have preferred less ricotta - or whatever was used as a filler - and perhaps a smaller format rich in flavours. venues: marjoram & co, which are not lacking elsewhere.

Had really good golden farinata di ceci here, still warm from the oven and what I think was Genovese version of Focaccia di Recco col formaggio, 90% cheese with the thinnest possible layer of focaccia round it, also still warm from the oven. The vegetable torta was delicious.
