Beautiful location, practically on the seafront and just steps from the Canottieri, ideal for a relaxing aperitif or a vegetarian or fish-based lunch. (Very positive: vegetarians are welcome: the dishes and options are thoughtful, not improvised! I had excellent couscous.) Friendly and professional service, a pleasant atmosphere, and a wonderful sea view. Recommended for a special day or a relaxing break in Salerno! Just steps from the merchants, to work off the slack, I recommend a stroll through the merchants/villa comunale to see the artistic lights!

Excellent seafood restaurant, by the sea.

My girlfriend and I went to this place on Sunday morning. I booked the day before without any problems. The parking is free and secure, and you can access it directly from there. You can choose whether to sit outside or inside. It's a shame it's right next to the port, but the atmosphere isn't that bad despite the boats and small vessels. The food is excellent, the owners are nice and very kind. There were some small hiccups with the menu and the waiters, but a little more organization would definitely improve the service. Otherwise, I'll give it 5 stars.

We celebrated my birthday, and everything was perfect. The atmosphere at ControVento restaurant is intimate and welcoming. Maria Luisa did everything she could to make the day memorable. The flavor of each dish highlighted the quality of the food. The cuisine is refined and excellent. Excellent value for money. We will be back.

An out of the way (unless you’re local) treasure on the Salerno waterfront. This was the first port of call on our cruise, and after a morning excursion to Pompeii we were ready for some frutti di mare, and this place met and exceeded expectations. Our Italian is rudimentary, but the staff was very patient and accommodating. We had a camarone starter, ravioli in redfish/scorpionfish broth, rigatone with tuna in a genovese sauce, escarole, and shared a tiramisu for dessert. Washed it all down with a dry spumante, then staggered back happy and full to our ship - only 81 euros lighter (before tip).Great coastal cuisine in a great coastal setting, and a lovely way to spend a couple of leisurely hours.

Being by the sea, hearing the gentle lapping of the waves crashing against the nearby boats. This is what accompanies a delicious dinner of seafood, expertly selected and exquisitely cooked! A unique experience in a city worth visiting and returning to! Congratulations!

I had dinner at this restaurant and found the hospitality excellent, the atmosphere lovely, and the food delicious! I stumbled upon it by chance for a work weekend, but I'll definitely be back as soon as I can! I highly recommend it!
