I feel like giving this restaurant five full stars. Some will perhaps turn up their noses, "because there is better in the area", as we sometimes hear people comment. But I give the five stars to Columbia today without thinking about it. In fact, in recent years I believe the cuisine has improved, not so much in the menu proposals - but also in the quality of the raw materials and the way in which they are cooked. Simple, genuine cuisine. Rich menu, from appetizers to dessert. Good table service, perfect environment for families with children (there are games such as slide and swing on the beach) but also for a lunch or dinner with friends. Fried food is the best for me, I can't find any others like it in the area. Yet I am someone who visits restaurants of all types and for every budget. The pizza, from the wood-fired oven, is truly unsurpassed (if you like round and thin pizza). It's true that over the years this restaurant-pizzeria right on the sea hasn't changed much in its furnishings or formula, but I think it is now appreciated for this reason too. Pasta with mussels and pecorino is among those dishes that you absolutely cannot miss. For those arriving from outside by train: get off at the station, take the main avenue - Viale Italia - and go down, always straight towards the sea: at the end of the route, about a kilometre, the Columbia will be in front of you. Must try.
