Returning here after years, I find the new managers: Chinese... Don't let this be misleading, they carry on the tradition of this historic Genoese bar under the loading arcades, a place that is already special in itself. You will eat sandwiches with all sorts of cured meats and side dishes, from phenomenal and varied cheeses and pickles. Excellent porcini mushrooms. Highly recommended, don't leave Genoa without passing through here

We arrived with a cruise to Genoa. After the excursion that we did on our own with a freetour (an economical option that I recommend for a guided tour of a couple of hours) we decided to stop for a beer with an aperitif before getting on the boat. It's close to the port and good for a quick bite to eat. Acceptable quality/price ratio.
