16/12/2024: I come from a town in Indiana called the Little Italy Festival town. They have celebrated many of their citizens' country of origin on Labor Day weekend for nearly 60 years. I say all of this to lay the foundation of this review. I came with limited expectations. I have been blessed to have eaten superb tender Veal Parmaseans at a few restaurants in my hometown as well as at some friends' homes. So, when I saw they offered it, I did not care about the price, I was anxious to get something that tastes like home. $27 for a thin, tough veal was not what I expected. The marinara was on point. I was disappointed. I ate the entire thing because the cost merited eating it regardless of its quality. I imagine the cook may have had an off day, and I expect that was likely the reason for the poor quality. The quality did not equal the cost. BUT!! Our server was just splendid to talk to, knew the entire menu, was able to answer all of my wife's allergy questions, and never left our drinks empty. Also, the owner approached nearly everyone at our table (as well as every table) and spoke to each asking how their meals were. I was brutally honest about my veal, and he was sincerely apologetic. Everything else about the experience: all of the other meals at our party's table were spot on; the service was impeccable, and the owner was so friendly and personable to us all. I gave a 5 star review based on the service and everyone else's food. As I said, the chef may have had an off day. I would recommend trying this place. The lasagna looked amazing, and their endless salad bar is a bonus. Full bar and games on the Big Screed was another plus.
