There are places you stumble upon by chance, and places that choose you forever. In Isola Rossa, for us, that place is the Chiosco Bar Miraggio Restaurant. For almost twenty years, every summer, our trip to Sardinia has been more than just a vacation: it's a homecoming.
We met the owner and her wonderful family when we were almost curious guests, and over time, we became part of a larger story, made of smiles, confidences, and sincere hugs. Over the years, the kiosk has grown, transformed, changed faces and dimensions, but it has never lost what makes it unique: that authentic soul that welcomes you like a friend, that makes you feel part of the family. Magic here accompanies every moment of the day: breakfast with soft brioche and deliciously fragrant coffee, enjoyed overlooking the gently waking sea; lunch, with fresh fish cooked with simplicity and love, crispy fried foods that smell of the sea, generous first courses that speak of tradition; And then the long-awaited aperitivo, when sunsets set the sky ablaze and a glass of wine or a well-crafted cocktail becomes the perfect setting to end the day; and finally, dinner, which becomes an enchanting experience amidst soft lighting, flavorful dishes, and the sea breeze that accompanies every bite.
Every dish and every sip has something extra; they're not just flavors, but emotions. They express all the magic and goodness of Sardinia.
Every table brings a story, every toast a memory that adds to the mosaic of so many happy summers.
For us, this is more than just a kiosk: it's our second home in Sardinia, a place in our hearts that we cherish with gratitude and that, year after year, reminds us how precious it is to feel welcomed and loved.
A special thanks goes to Eleonora, the backbone and soul of it all, to her children Giulia, Ivan, and Luca (who were there first, then later, but always there with their smiles and energy), and to all the women who have been part of this great family over the years, contributing with their work and kindness to making this place unique.

Fantastic place, right on the sea.
Cleanliness, food, breakfasts, and staff are truly exceptional.
And Ivan is a fantastic person, polite, friendly, and very kind (he makes lobster bavette 🔝).
