Ca’Stalla In Pergine valsugana

We wanted to visit it because it is a medieval castle...unfortunately we only saw the external walls because it was closed in this period....

I didn't stay in the hotel, but visited the castle from the outside and a few rooms inside, inside the walls there is a bar, the view is beautiful and reaches up to Lake Caldonazzo

Seen only from the outside. Beautiful fortification, oozing with history, with all-out defenses. Used as a restaurant, hotel and exhibition or conference room. The external environment is very solitary and slightly wild, like those carefully unkempt beards that make the central male fascinating. I believe the rooms are located in the towers, suspended over the cliff and the windows overlook the horizon of the mountains, with the small town below. You park at its feet and set out to conquer it by climbing up the short wooded slope on stone steps. There was no one at the entrance, perhaps the inhabitants fled the siege of tourism.

No reception, external visit.. Some places of little interest...

Well preserved with a long history that begins in the 13th century, I think the greatest charm is all in the interiors partially used as a hotel and restaurant. It currently belongs to a foundation. It can be visited with a guide only by reservation, but it can still be reached as a destination for a walk with a view. You can arrive by car with convenient car parks about 200/300 meters away, or on foot from the center of Pergine or through the beautiful Tre Castagni park (obviously all uphill) with routes of one kilometer or more.

Beautiful castle, partly hotel. There would be rooms to view, according to the signs. But only the hall and prison are accessible. No staff to be found. If you do check in here, you can only check in between 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM, a sign says. Beautiful location. Today the car park is a footpath uphill and a route around the outside of the castle wall. Beautiful to walk if you want to climb a lot and are not afraid of heights. Beautiful views.

Let me start by saying that I went to the castle as a visitor and not as a guest, beautiful but without a welcome, we did not meet anyone except a couple of guests of the structure, the place is charming and clean but I repeat, no welcome, which does not mean that it is a negative note, also because it is specified that entry to visitors is only permitted on Saturdays and Sundays upon reservation. To reach the structure it is advisable to leave the car in the car park below and walk up the path in the woods, very suggestive but requires appropriate shoes and clothing, not mountaineer's but certainly not white linen slippers and trousers. Wonderful experience and breathtaking view.

I visited the castle without using the hotel services. Perfect location for a romantic weekend!!

Castel Pergine was the most magical place I have ever stayed in my life! The grounds felt like out of a fairytale and the view of the town down below from the rooms was absolutely incredible. The staff was very helpful and we felt very welcome and taken care of throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious and tasted even better since it was in a very historic room within the Castel. This is such a unique, once in a lifetime stay and I highly recommend adding this amazing stay experience to your bucket list in Italy!
