Il ristorante pur essendo in pieno centro si trova in una piazzetta molto tranquilla. Sono stata a Tropea in vacanza per una settimana e sono stata da Carpe Diem due volte. Ho fatto subito presente le mie intolleranze al glutine e al lattosio e ho mangiato una pizza davvero buona. Gabriele molto disponibile e gentile, è stato un piacere scoprire questo posto!

Posto molto carino, in una piazzetta caratteristica e tranquilla. Offre la possibilità di mangiare senza glutine con un ampio menù. Abbiamo ordinato degli spaghetti alle vongole senza glutine, ma invece degli spaghetti, sono arrivate delle penne con vongole. Alla richiesta di spiegazioni, la cameriera si è giustificata dicendo che gli spaghetti erano terminati. Può accadere ma consiglierei di avvisare prima il cliente, per dargli l'opportunità di cambiare portata.

If you're looking for authentic Calabrian flavors, you can't miss dinner at Uliveto! I recommend the fileja with eggplant and pork ragù; the chicken à la mattone melts in your mouth, and the lamb is incredible! See you soon!

We've been eating here for years, and we always love coming back—and we always bring our friends who come to visit. Easy, family atmosphere, delicious traditional food, the true Calabrian flavor: Fileja in all its forms (nduja, eggplant, ragu, white beans, etc.), pipi and potatoes, local meats like chicken and rabbit. What more could you ask for? We'll definitely be back! I recommend the fileja with eggplant.
