Typical castle location and interesting, really good bread. A delicious carbonara. Always good.

EDIT: After 5 years, I stand by my review. A must-visit. We often hear about Roman trattorias, rightly anchored in the past but with overly "rustic" staff, but at Romoletto I found something different. The cuisine balances traditional fare with modern touches, making every meal interesting and delicious. The staff's professionalism blends seamlessly and elegantly with the classic "Roman family" atmosphere. It's no coincidence that the restaurant is beloved by both locals and out-of-towners, some of whom are quite high-profile, but who still choose this small, village restaurant for their meals. If you want to dine on the traditional flavors of the Castelli Romani, Romoletto is a surefire choice. A regular stop every time I return. Having said all this, I give it 5 stars because it's a restaurant that perfectly hits its target. It does a splendid job.

The food is excellent. I went after years of being recommended it specifically for the quality of the mushrooms, and I must say I wasn't disappointed. The portions were a bit small, it must be said, but the mezzelune stuffed with porchetta I tried were world-class. It's a trattoria, so don't expect a Michelin-starred restaurant. The waiters are friendly and approachable, a little slow when the place is busy, but the wait is worth it. The atmosphere is classic, like that of a trattoria in the castles that has passed down tradition from father to son, so you feel right at home. The tiramisu is a must-try.

Excellent food but waiting 1.30 for a first course even if it wasn't, it was Sunday lunch and there were 20 of us in total

The food is excellent, the atmosphere is rustic, the service is a little slow and not very accurate, maybe a little more staff would be useful. Definitely worth a try anyway

it was better once maybe I'll try again in winter there was more atmosphere salty food a little too sure of the fame ... it loses little pieces .. I give it 4 stars because it tries hard .... and they can do it ..

In una giornata come quella di oggi (domenica delle palme + manifestazione “Orchidee dal mondo” all’interno del paese di Monteporzio Catone) lo staff di questo ristorante merita lodi a profusione: locale pienissimo a pranzo, i ragazzi in sala (preparati, simpatici e dinamici) hanno gestito i tavoli in maniera impeccabile. Veniamo al cibo: abbiamo mangiato meravigliosamente. Tra tris di primi, mezze porzioni di quello e porzioni intere di questo li abbiamo assaggiati quasi tutti, ed erano tutti fantastici. Una menzione speciale la meritano i ravioli ripieni di porchetta a cacio e pepe, di cui avrei divorato volentieri altre 10 porzioni. Le grigliate miste di carne (qualità eccelsa, e si è sentito) erano un trionfo sensoriale. Persino la cicoria ripassata era stratosferica, abbiamo ordinato i bis! Gran finale con crema catalana, tiramisù, caffè, grappe, amari. Bravissimi tutti, cucina e sala. Complimenti davvero. Ci rivedremo prestissimo.
