Caffè Spaccanapoli In Napoli

It was cheap for just 4 euros and 90 cents. I had an espresso and sfogliatella. And i like the traditional atmossphere and the easy going italian mindset. Only downside as I was there at 10 am the sfogliatella could have been fresher, it tasted a little over fried and old, yet still very good. I especially liked the espresso there - the crema and all was good.

So nice and friendly staff. They even prepared some iced coffee upon my request!

3 stars because overall the experience was pleasant, the coffee was excellent, the cappuccino was good and the croissants and puff pastries were also good. The friendliness and helpfulness of the managers is certainly a plus. The only flaw is the increased price as we used table service, which we didn't know before sitting down and which we didn't expect given the area. When we asked for explanations regarding how much we paid (€25.30) for two croissants, 2 puff pastries, 2 coffees, a cappuccino, a Coca-Cola and 4 waters, the manager gave us clarifications in a courteous manner. Table service or the surcharge (in my opinion it is incomprehensible that a coffee costs €2 just because it is served at the table) is often paid in various cities and it would always be nice (for everyone) to know this before sitting down, this could avoid unpleasant reviews and will certainly make the experience even more pleasant.

It's not a bar for everyone. Look at the photos... Now, add the welcome of Pasquale and his colleague, the "Neapolitan" environment, the quality of the products and the fact that you can request the cappuccino as you like (without lactose as well). I can add that I drove past 3 bars in the rain to return, and I didn't regret it. Why? Just because "I feel like I'm at the bar". Amazing sfogliatelle riccia with pistachio filling. Espresso and croissant deliciosos. Service are very friendly and quick. Super recommend 😍
