Caffe Rudiae In Lecce

I went for breakfast with friends a few months ago at Caffè Rudiae near Porta Rudiae, and I must say I was very impressed. It's a historic and truly unique place: charming retro decor, with myriads of clocks, toys, paintings, vintage objects, and much more that make it one of a kind. The place is very welcoming and has both an intimate and quaint indoor room and a spacious outdoor area that's perfect for al fresco dining in the summer. The display case is immense and overflowing with all kinds of desserts—the pasticciotto, of course, was a must. We tried the classic one and one with lemon cream, which was truly special, accompanied by an excellent cappuccino. The staff is extremely kind, professional, and helpful: they even patiently handled a friend of ours's change of heart without any problem. The prices are excellent and affordable. I'll definitely be back to try something else, and I highly recommend anyone passing through Lecce to stop here: not only for the uniqueness of the place, which alone makes a statement, but also for the quality and deliciousness of the products.

Met here earlier today at commencement of Lecce walking tour, got to sample local pastries and iced coffee with almond syrup, very tasty. Nice friendly atmosphere. Recommend

A bit pricey but the coffee and sweets are def decent. Pretty sure the rest is good too. You can pay using a card, and they speak some English. Spend your time wisely by checking out all the trinkets the owner has collected. The collection of ceramic jellyfishes was handmade by a friend's father!

Lovely, unique, and colourful place with amazing, fresh desserts and very good coffee! Also great for an afternoon beer and people-watching. It can get a bit chaotic during rush hour, but that just adds to the charm. :)

very wide choice of sweet food (but also savory). polite and friendly staff, welcoming environment even if a little small (but there are also outside tables). highly recommended for breakfast, both takeaway and to eat on site.

Un bar carino (arredamento eclettico) che propone servizio caffetteria nella norma. Hanno varietà di paste, pasticciotti e proposte salate. Va bene per iniziare la visita della città al mattino.
