Caffe Rudiae In Lecce

A decent bar with reasonable prices, great for a refuge when it's been raining these past few days. The cuckoo clock and the Batman and Superman figurines sitting next to each other are unusual and very rustic. A very annoying flaw is that many pigeons arrive at the outdoor tables, landing on the tables and chairs, causing a disturbance (they're plotting something, they're government spies).

Very friendly service. Excellent coffee. Delicious pastries. We stumbled upon this café by chance and were pleasantly surprised. We'd gladly return.

A charming neighborhood café overlooking one of the beautiful entrances to the old town. Multilingual and very welcoming staff. The terrace is cozy and the interior is quite unique. Nice selection of pastries and cookies.

Great place for breakfast, delicious coffee. The pastries are impeccable. The decor is beautiful, vintage-style, and each table is brightly colored. The staff is friendly; perhaps some of the servers are a little inexperienced, but nothing serious; I had a great time. I'll definitely be back.

Pasticciotti are the end of the world!

I went for breakfast with friends a few months ago at Caffè Rudiae near Porta Rudiae, and I must say I was very impressed. It's a historic and truly unique place: charming retro decor, with myriads of clocks, toys, paintings, vintage objects, and much more that make it one of a kind. The place is very welcoming and has both an intimate and quaint indoor room and a spacious outdoor area that's perfect for al fresco dining in the summer. The display case is immense and overflowing with all kinds of desserts—the pasticciotto, of course, was a must. We tried the classic one and one with lemon cream, which was truly special, accompanied by an excellent cappuccino. The staff is extremely kind, professional, and helpful: they even patiently handled a friend of ours's change of heart without any problem. The prices are excellent and affordable. I'll definitely be back to try something else, and I highly recommend anyone passing through Lecce to stop here: not only for the uniqueness of the place, which alone makes a statement, but also for the quality and deliciousness of the products.
