Caffè King In Castagneto carducci

In September 2025, I finally made it to King Caffe in Donoratico to buy coffee beans. As the owner of a high-quality portafilter espresso machine with a grinder, I was eager to try the coffee at home. Both the espresso and cappuccino taste absolutely outstanding. The espresso develops a very, very good crema. The slight detour was definitely worth it. I highly recommend it.

Unfortunately, the coffee machine was broken, so we couldn't try it. If the coffee at home tastes as good as it does in the bars, then it'll be great! Otherwise, friendly.

As an espresso lover, I visited the small Caffé King roastery shop yesterday. I'd noticed their coffee in the local bars and wanted to see what they had to offer. They have six different bean blends, ranging from 80% Arabica/20% Robusta to 20% Arabica/80% Robusta. We were able to sample three different blends and then bought our favorites. The prices are very reasonable, between €17 and €24 per kilogram. Great atmosphere, patient staff, and top-notch coffee. I hope they get a distributor in Austria! Keep up the good work! Please add their opening hours to Google Maps; they're open from 4:30 pm during the summer season.

Allegedly the best coffee in the area. The beans are freshly ground and vacuum-packed.
