Abbiamo pranzato qui in primavera, e siamo riusciti a mangiare su un tavolo fuori, i coperti non sono molti, però i piatti sono molto gustosi e caratteristici, quindi si consiglia la prenotazione e si vede un bel panorama. Si spende il giusto

We are from Elba but we had no idea where to dine thanks to a friend who suggested this restaurant to us and it was a wonderful dinner, excellent food (I usually struggle to finish everything but I ate everything without problems) precise staff, excellent attentive service and fast, fair price... I don't do many reviews but it's right to give value to this place and encourage people to go there (booking rightly)... Surely there will be other times we go. Thank you very much for the lovely evening spent...

Easily the best meal we had in Italy! We shared the starter of Tuscany meat and cheese board. You could tell it was local and traditional with an amazing fig and pear jam. We had main meals both with boar, one was the pappardelle and the other I’m sorry I can’t remember the name of because it was the best dish we had - a marinated boar dish. The desserts where a perfect end and weren’t too sweet. The waitress even used a translation app to speak with us as we cannot speak Italian. They accommodated us even though we didn’t have a reservation. I would recommend making one as it got busy fast. It was full of locals which is a great sign to the authenticity and quality of the food.

Nonostante le nostre numerose vacanze all’Elba non eravamo mai stati a San Piero in Campo, paesino nell’interno dell’isola davvero delizioso. Cacio e Vino ha una bella terrazza panoramica, che sembra quasi una piazzetta, con splendida vista sul golfo di Marina di Campo. I tavoli sulla terrazza sono uno diverso dall’altro e le sedie in legno impagliate hanno colore differenti. Sulle bustine in carta che contengono le posate sono riportati frasi di scrittori, poeti ecc. Il menù non ha moltissime voci, ma sono accattivanti. Abbiamo ordinato pici all’aglione con pecorino romano e moscardini Cacio e Vino (con fagioli) serviti nella casseruola. Entrambi i piatti squisiti e in quantità abbondanti. Come dolce una panna cotta ai frutti di bosco servita nel barattolo in vetro. Servizio buono. Prezzi nella media del luogo. Bagno in ordine. Necessaria la prenotazione soprattutto per la cena. Assolutamente da ritornare.

The Osteria Cacio e Vino stands out for its welcoming atmosphere and homemade cuisine, focused on traditional dishes. My dinner experience was decidedly positive. As an appetizer I started with a plate of **mixed cheeses**, well assorted, with a selection of local and mature cheeses, accompanied by honey and jam. The flavors were well balanced and the variety made the starter interesting. The **fish balls** were an excellent surprise: crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a delicate and not too intrusive taste. Perfect to start the meal. **First course**: I continued with the **spelt and bean soup**, a rustic and genuine dish. The soup was thick, flavorful, and with a perfect balance between the sweet flavor of the beans and the earthier flavor of the spelled. An ideal comfort food, especially on cooler summer evenings. In summary, an excellent dinner, with carefully prepared dishes that respect the Italian culinary tradition. The service was friendly, and the family environment contributed to making the experience even more pleasant, especially due to the background music, which delighted us throughout the dinner.
