Ca' de Vèn In Ravenna

A very beautiful venue, housed in a huge, characteristic old building. We had an aperitif with a platter of cured meats and cheeses, piadinas, watercress, and baked potatoes—all delicious. The service was excellent, and the staff was courteous and impeccable.

A 15th-century restaurant in the heart of Ravenna, very quaint and scenic, just steps from Dante's tomb. We parked near the station because the restaurant is in a restricted traffic zone, and took a pleasant stroll there. It's billed as a wine bar, but it offers a selection of traditional Romagna dishes. In my opinion, the dishes are average, while the prices are a bit higher than average. The staff is a bit aloof and cold. A funny moment: we order a bottle of wine, they pour me a drop to taste, and I turn to tell the waiter it's fine... but he's already serving half the place. Result? I served the other diners myself 😄 Well, we had a good laugh.

We had a wonderful time! We knew what to expect, and it lived up to expectations. The place was beautiful, and the Romagna food was truly delicious! We sat at the table at the entrance, known as the "friendship" table, the only one I could fit in, having a dog with me. It was truly a pleasant experience, chatting with the neighbors in a very warm atmosphere.

We went to Ca’de Ven thanks to a locals suggestion. We were not disappointed. I was curious and pleasantly surprised how good the food was. The location was a combination of old and new which worked superbly. The food was wonderful. The grilled pork and vegetables was delicious. We highly recommend a meal at the Ca’ de Ven.

It was a pleasant lunch. Excellent Romagna dishes, good service, and a lovely atmosphere. Recommended.

Excellent food at a fair price. Reservations are recommended because the place is always crowded. Friendly staff. Very nice place.

The atmosphere and the staff were truly welcoming. Even the traditional lunch was satisfying. The only flaw was the wine they offered. Our taster wasn't an expert and didn't notice that the "famous" one they offered us had a truly embarrassing hint of old wood. What a shame.
