Break Café In Stresa

Don’t fall into the same trap I did. There are hundreds of shops, restaurants, cafés, and gelaterias on this island that do not exist on Google Maps or Tripadvisor! As someone who loves organising trips I planned everything in advance according to these sites - in the end we had quite a few underwhelming experiences. Enjoy the charm of the island and be spontaneous to get the most out of your trip here!

We were looking for a place to get takeaway sandwiches that wasn't overpriced (which is very hard to find in Isola Bella) and stumbled upon this place. We were more than won over: the sandwiches were very good and fresh and the ice cream really delicious!

We had a piadina con prosciutto, and it was quite good.

Hidden away on a narrow street is this fantastic little place where you can eat simple food at fair prices (unlike everywhere else on the island) with the owner's pure and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended!

Cozy cafe with freshly made piadina, good ice cream and coffee. The staff was very friendly. However, there is quite a few seats and coffee & drinks are served in paper cups.
