Boston Caffè In Soncino

A business lunch, as it's described upon entering, is completely lacking a menu with prices. The owners' daughter, extremely kind and professional, lists the daily specials. The dining room adjacent to the bar is welcoming and elegant. The outdoor restrooms are a bit subdued and a bit dated. Service is quick. Overall, the dishes are good: the risotto with asparagus is perfect, but the Mediterranean-style monkfish is a bit less so, a bit lukewarm. However, the dessert is superb: a chocolate cake with a warm center of jam made with bitter lamb's lettuce, garnished with dollops of cream and a sbrisolona crumble. The price is reasonable considering the quality.

Today, on a trip with the University to Soncino, I had the opportunity to "try" this place. It really deserves a stop for refreshment!
