Bonasciana Lecce In Lecce

My husband and I had dinner on January 3, 2025 at this cozy restaurant in the historic center of Lecce. We took the 'ncannulate' sagne with sauce and cacioricotta, the bombette, the breaded chicken strips and the small panettone with cream and melted chocolate, a glass of Pyrros and one of Primus. Cost €66.00. All very good and appetizing. In addition to the good food, we also appreciated the kindness of the waitress and waiters.

Cute little café, with fresh food and friendly service. We tried the successful and fully enjoyed their special bread, fresh cheese and tasty vegetables

We arrived from BonaSciana at 7pm on the eve (24 December), after a walk in the centre, with the desire to sit down and relax a bit. We ordered: 1 gin tonic, 1 Aperol spritz, a ginseng with two biscuits and a hot chocolate. We were immediately told by the waiter that the hot chocolate machine was not yet ready and that it would be necessary to wait about 20 minutes. For a cold winter day, a pre-holiday one at that, the absence of ready hot chocolate was already a minus, but we decided to wait. The first drinks arrived quickly, but unfortunately the spritz served was a Campari instead of the requested Aperol. After reporting the error, they brought us the correct drink, and I have to say that both the spritz and the gin and tonic were very good (a second was ordered). The ginseng was also satisfying. However, after 30 minutes the hot chocolate was still not ready, and we had to request it again. It finally arrived after 40 minutes, but unfortunately it was watery and not at all thick. I don't know if the problem was due to the machine still not working well or to the type of chocolate used, but it certainly didn't meet expectations. Despite these inconveniences, it must be acknowledged that the staff was very kind and helpful throughout the experience.

We had lunch at this little place. The food was served impeccably, but above all the taste was excellent and the meat was of the highest quality.
