A quiet place with friendly and warm staff. Excellent wine and beautiful surroundings.

Qué increíble experiencia fue, superó con creces mis expectativas. Fuimos a una clase de cocina y cata de vinos y la familia no podría haber sido mejor. Eran tan cálidos e invitando me recordó a mis cenas dominicales de la infancia. Nos alojamos en la costa de Amalfi y tomamos un taxi acuático a la hermosa ciudad de Maiori. Nuestro anfitrión, Aurelio, nos recogió en la ciudad y nos llevó al viñedo. Nos llevó a un breve recorrido por el viñedo y nos enseñó la historia de la propiedad, las vides y los vinos que se elaboraban a partir de las diferentes uvas. Una vez hecho el recorrido, nos trajeron a la zona del comedor donde conocimos a María (su madre) , su padre, y su hermana (mis disculpas por no recordar sus nombres) entonces fue correcto trabajar. Comenzamos con un aperitivo de salami fresco y queso y luego cocinamos carrozzo de berenjena con berenjena fresca de su jardín. El segundo plato fue lingüina casera con salsa de albahaca de tomate. Hicimos la pasta fresca con huevos de las gallinas de la propiedad, y la salsa con tomates y albahaca de su jardín. ¡EL MEJOR QUE HE TENIDO! Habíamos maridado cada plato con el vino recomendado y todo lo que perfeccionamos, terminamos comprando un estuche mixto para ser enviado de vuelta a casa. Terminamos la comida con un poco de Limoncello casero que Aurelio tuvo la amabilidad de compartir la receta con nosotros, luego nos llevó de regreso a Maiori donde tomamos el taxi acuático de regreso a nuestro hotel. Qué día tan increíble, no podíamos dejar de sonreír. En mi próxima visita a la región sin duda volveré a visitar Basileo!

Nice location and owner but basic facilities- one restroom/shower for everybody isn’t great. And a lot of dogs barking during the night but this you’ll find more often in Italy. However it’s difficult to find a good camper spot in the Amalfi area so probably one of the best options.

We had the best time here! We were welcomed by the whole family and stayed for three nights with our tent. Everything was well organized and the sanitary area was very clean. We will definitely come back another time, so we recommend it to everyone!

We had such a great time in this, we call it.. Paradise 😍! We started in the vineyard, in the shadow, just perfect, surrounded by fruits. Every tree you give a closer look has fruits all over: kiwi, grapes, pear, etc. Which has a certain richness, we do not have in the Netherlands. We got a complete explanation about the surrounding and it’s history. Which is amazing to consider, Romans & Greeks settled down +/- 2000 years ago. And on top of that we had a dinner cooked by Maria, which is the best. Alfredo’s vegetables, meat from the cows down hill. More local you cannot get. This logic is super to experience and to be part of for a week. We are unhappy to leave the family and surrounding!! Sea just down the mountain. Forest and vineyards at the mountain and fields of lemons... ! Limoncello is founded here :-) And last but not least the wine! The Son is just as passionated as his dad and gave us during a cooking lesson a tour over the fields, explantion and taste of all the wine and types. Just perfect! If I see some other reviews: You can call it basic, but the best basics of the basics. Cosy, a field with +/- 3 tents. Basic bathroom. All perfect to us!
