On our last day in Rome, we treated ourselves to cannoli and cream horns for breakfast — the perfect match with hot chocolate and cappuccino. The place had such a warm, friendly vibe and fast service.

The window is calling! 😍 Let me explain: I was walking down Via Ottaviano on my way back from St. Peter's and, passing by the Parenti pastry shop, I smelled the classic aroma of an old-fashioned café, the scent of coffee mingling with something sweet. I looked up and saw a beautiful old sign and then the window full of delicious things. I paused, but my family was already on their way to the subway. I ran, called them, and we'd go back. I'm in Rome on vacation and I haven't tried the maritozzi yet. My instinct was right. The maritozzi melted in my mouth and I didn't even have time to take a photo. The cream was super fresh, I set it just right, not too sugary... well, what am I even telling you? But what about the meringues? Aside from the fact that they're huge and very cheap, only €1.50 each, they're incredibly good. I'm not a fan of meringues; I bought them for my son, but seeing his face while he was enjoying them, I tried them too, and I have to say, they were a world away from the ones I've tried before: firm, soft, with a light lemon aroma, clouds of flavor. The staff at the counter were kind and quick, and inside, there was a complete assortment of pastries and cookies. I'll definitely be back on my next visit to Rome 🥰

You shouldn't miss Parenti's Montblanc for anything in the world.

Very good Maritozzo, very kind staff!

Small neighborhood cafe near the Vatican. It doesn't have tables, but it does have a small counter where you can eat or have a coffee. It has a wide variety of pastries; we tried the croissants filled with pistachio cream, which were tremendous. We also ordered two cappuccinos, which were also quite good. The waiters were very kind and friendly. A highly recommended place to have a coffee and/or eat some pastries at a more than affordable price near the Vatican.

Due bei maritozzi e due bignè al cioccolato, tutto molto buono e a prezzi nella media (9€). Peccato solo che non ci fossero dei tavolini su cui poggiarsi.

Oltre alla bontà dei maritozzi qui si trovano anche le mono porzioni del dolce “Montblanc” più altre paste. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è molto buono ed il personale è gentile. Non vi sono tavolini per sedersi. Consigliato
