Bar Leodamia In Salerno

A nice, relaxing and pleasant place to enjoy an excellent coffee.

Leodamia is a historic bar in the Irno district of Salerno. This well-run bar also offers an outdoor space for summer breakfast or a late-afternoon aperitif. For breakfast, it offers the legendary croissants from the Salerno pastry shop.

English: Once a very well-stocked bar, almost a pastry shop, as you can still see from the photos on social media. Now unfortunately it has become an ordinary bar, even poorly stocked. The online menu has not been updated for 2 years giving the illusion that things have not changed, in my opinion a post should be made on social media reporting the change or the quiescence phase, for correctness and transparency. Instead it almost seems like they are leaving it like this to continue advertising themselves. The only flavors available for the croissants were white chocolate and Nutella (not even pistachio, which I would probably have found at the bar later) with some half snacks as a garnish. We ordered milkshakes (they were on the online menu), and they brought frothed milk with Nutella (the milkshake is made with ice cream), extremely sweet. Paid €3.50. It would have been more honest to admit that you couldn't do it rather than pass it off as a milkshake. We ordered a latte macchiato: tiny glass, with a woodworm and coffee beans inside. A normal coffee instead paid €1.30. The very kind girl tried to accommodate us and all in all the croissants were well filled, but it is no longer the place it once was. The review is intended to warn of this change. Also completely absent vegan options except for soy milk.

Nice and authentic place, friendly staff, but spritz €9 which I find very excessive for the area.
