Bar Excelsior In Bolzano

The place is nice and the staff are friendly, but there are several things that aren't right. We order two glasses of wine, and they don't pour them at the table, but bring them already filled—that's just not the way it is. Then we move on to the fried cod. They bring you a huge plate full of fried cod pieces, too large, but without any side dishes. It can't be a restaurant main course, especially at that price, around 25 euros if I'm not mistaken.

The food quality wasn't excellent in my opinion, and the service wasn't very attentive. Pasta with pesto and seafood was drowned in oil, so much so that it covered the flavor of the seafood. Pasta with crab sauce, the special of the day we went, was far too salty. The grilled fish was good overall, but the breaded cuttlefish was soggy; it would have been better not to pay for it. Overall, adequate.

Seafood restaurant with their own fishing boat, top-notch seafood! We had a mix of appetizers and grilled fish, all delicious and fresh. Recommended for both couples and families!

The food was average, but the Portuguese cod (€30) consisted of two (not large) pieces of boiled cod, swimming in water and oil, with boiled potatoes and tomatoes. A very unrelated dish that was definitely not worth the price.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! I had dinner with 10 friends and we chose the tasting menu. The portions were generous, so much so that we ordered 5. The service was excellent, thanks to the staff who served us with great kindness and professionalism. The food was delicious, well-prepared, and of excellent quality. The restaurant was also very welcoming and well-decorated, creating a pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely be back soon!

Amazing fish dinner. Very nice place in the center of Porto San Giorgio where you can eat good local fish. The menu is not very extensive, but the quality of the product is evident and the portions are generous. Both the first and second courses are very good. Unfortunately I was not able to photograph them all, but I admit that they are excellent. The restaurant has both outdoor and indoor seating. It is precisely there that I fell in love with this place: fishing nets, maps, coffee grinders, rudders... Finally they also offered us some still warm anise biscuits that warmed our hearts

Frequented several times and increasingly satisfied after each visit, I chose Trattoria Excelsior for my son's communion. Super helpful staff for every request, impeccable fish, fresh and perfectly cooked. Typical seafood restaurant, original and welcoming. Pino and Camillo unsurpassed.
