I've been to Caffè Esedra in Sora more than once, mostly for breakfast or a break during a stroll along Corso Volsci. Every time I go, I find that pleasant, uncluttered feeling of normality, which is sometimes exactly what I'm looking for. The coffee is good, the cappuccino is often really well-made, and the croissants are fresh and tasty. The staff, at least in my experience, has always been kind and welcoming: they greet you naturally, without being overbearing, and this makes the place feel calm and familiar. The location is one of its strong points: being right on the Corso, it's perfect for stopping for a moment, resting, or people-watching. I've also had a few aperitivos there and found it simple but pleasant. To be honest, the atmosphere isn't always the liveliest: sometimes upon entering, I've felt the atmosphere is a bit dull, as some online reviews also point out. There are also small maintenance details that could use some attention, especially in the outdoor areas. Overall, however, Caffè Esedra remains an honest place for me, where I know what to expect: good coffee, friendly service, and a hassle-free break in the city center. A simple, genuine café that gets the job done without trying to impress.
