Bar Big Ben In Piacenza

A large bar with ample outdoor parking. Frequented primarily by workers and truck drivers, it's not suitable for couples. Conveniently located, it's open late, including late into the night. Ideal for a quick breakfast or a casual beer.

Having to attend a refresher course in the area all day, this bar was a real blessing, both for the food and the staff. The girl who offered me a glass of ice and lemon when I ordered an energy drink was very kind; a truly remarkable consideration for a bar. The ginseng was also excellent. The pistachio tartlet was a bit less so, as it was just sugar and the pastry was too brittle. The atmosphere is not bad at all, with a wall-mounted TV that's easy to watch. The presence of slot machines, however, is a disappointment, something I absolutely disagree with. It was, however, an excellent and practical discovery on Via Colombo, worth keeping in mind.

There is something absurdly dark in the Piacenza night, I can't explain it easily. When the sun goes down and the fog rises you feel alone and disoriented. The sign of the Big Ben Bar attracted me, sure of finding shelter and alcohol to survive I went in, drank and forgot for a moment the incredible loneliness I felt at that moment. Thank you for making my perdition more pleasant.
