El Caminante comes here every summer; you can find Pedro and Monica's food truck at Balaguer or at the Foradada Island lookout. At the beginning of the Valencia seafront, near La Maddalenetta, is the mini truck. Here, Venezuelan arepas meet Lombardy, and a touch of Alghero, since Monica is from Alghero. Balaguer is certainly the most charming spot, especially at sunset. The arepas are delicious, from the classic Valencian recipe with slow-cooked ternera, to the salmon. The cocktails are lovely, perfect for an aperitif or an alternative dinner.

Eating while watching a beautiful sunset is always magical, and the staff is friendly. Personally, I'm not crazy about this type of sandwich, but my personal taste shouldn't stop others, especially celiacs, from trying this unique street food, considering the filling is delicious. Four stars, not five, for the prices, which are really high... €13 for one with salmon and avocado and €10 for one with eggplant, tomatoes, and a little stracciatella is too much, considering you'd need two to be full.
