We arrived at the place while traveling from Naples to Rome. There you can use the restroom, which, by the way, is plentiful and very clean.
There are several fast food and drink options, and you can also buy souvenirs if you wish. The place is very clean, despite the crowds of tourists. I definitely recommend it as a fast food option.

We stopped enroute Rome to Salerno on group tour. Large area to handle lot of tourists. They have some souvenir shops, washrooms and decent food. Good enough!

Looking at the photos it looks like this establishment has had a few makeovers. In its current state, it is a tour bus rest area. Decent sized bathroom facilities, with souvenirs on display as well as clothing items that I don't know if they are authentic or not. They also function as a cafeteria style restaurant. Food is kind of meh, though the meatballs and arancini were ok. Definitely overpriced. I don't know if there's something under the table that allowed this place to be our rest stop both ways on our group tour from Rome to Pompeii/Positano, but it could be worse I guess.

The Varlese Area was a pleasant surprise: quiet, tidy and surrounded by greenery, it is perfect for a relaxing stop or as a base for exploring the surroundings. The spaces are large, well-kept and easily accessible, with a good level of general cleanliness.
The staff was friendly and helpful, ready to provide information and support when needed.
The quality/price ratio was also excellent.
What to improve:
Some facilities (e.g. bathrooms, common areas) could be updated or made more welcoming. Clearer signage would also help those arriving for the first time.
Overall, an excellent choice for those looking for a peaceful and functional stop, without too many pretensions but with everything you need.

I confirm that the coffee is excellent, but the management of the place is terrible and the courtesy of the staff has significantly decreased (I stop often and it is always worse). They have renovated the place and the bathrooms (man) in a terrible way: many have not worked for months (see photo) and are always dirty.
A lot of people stop because of the location and giving such a poor service is not acceptable. From next time I will stop further along the ssv. Too bad because the coffee is really good

Mi sono fermato a cena con un amico prima di tornare a casa. Devo dire che il servizio è stato veloce e molto cordiale. La carne davvero buona e conto in linea con quello mangiato. L’unico neo forse un po’ la patata e la cipolla di contorno che non mi hanno entusiasmato poi molto…secondo me con una carne così buona ci vuole un contorno più degno.
