Antica Trattoria delle Grotte In Pastena

My husband and I stop in Pastena every year on our way to Sicily. This year we discovered this fantastic trattoria. We immediately fell in love with the wonderful Mr. Domenico, a gentleman in every sense of the word! The food was super authentic and we enjoyed our conversation with him! A little skeptical for some negative reviews but we wanted to go anyway. We had a great time instead. It is a trattoria and therefore everything is homely and family-like. The dishes are of good quality and tasty in an excellent value for money. The services are clean. I highly recommend it if you want to eat like at home. The owner, Domenico, is very nice and helpful.

27 Aprile 2025 Un tuffo nei sapori veri e nei cuori di una volta Dopo una visita alla suggestiva Grotta di Pastena, ci siamo fermati in questa un’osteria che sembra uscita da un altro tempo. Un luogo semplice, senza fronzoli, dove il profumo del sugo e della brace ti accoglie prima ancora di varcare la soglia. Ad accoglierci, un uomo dal sorriso gentile e dallo sguardo sincero, come il nonno che tutti vorremmo avere. Ci ha serviti con un’umiltà, una cura e attenzione che raramente si incontrano oggi. Gli gnocchi fatti a mano, conditi con un sugo alla carne profumato e ricco d’amore. La carne alla brace tenera e saporita, le patate al forno come quelle fatte in casa appena colte dal proprio orto. Non è solo il cibo a lasciare il segno, ma l’atmosfera. Si respira una genuinità rara, quella che scalda il cuore tanto quanto lo stomaco. Un piccolo angolo di passato che resiste, con dignità e dolcezza, nel presente. Grazie sig. Domenico per averci fatto sentire a casa, anche se solo per un pranzo
