Everything was beautiful! There's not much to say... The location, the atmosphere, the restaurant, everything was top notch. The only thing I'll never agree with is the price of water. I understand the resort, I understand the luxury, and I understand the importance of water, but to speculate on a basic commodity like water, with a profit margin for the "restaurateur" of over 90%, I find disgusting and immoral.

We booked this at the last minute due to its proximity to the airport in Reggio Calabria. It was the nicest place in which stayed in all of Puglia and Calabria. Room was immaculate and the staff attentive and professional.

We have been here several times for dinner with family and friends and each and every time it’s been an amazing experience. The staff are very attentive and always give exceptional service. They are very accommodating for anyone with food intolerances or allergies as well and always go above and beyond to make your fine dining experience an exceptional one. They are always consistent in gourmet food and services for both the outdoor dining experience with live music and stunning views as well as the indoor dining. We enjoyed walks around the well maintained gardens and grounds of this beautiful spa and resort which make any hotel stay here tranquil and relaxing. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful, place to stay with beautiful views and fine dining for your next vacation. Thank you to everyone at Alta Fiumara Spa and Resort for making all our visits memorable and we look forward to many more returns. Update: if I could give this place more stars I would. Today we experienced an exquisite lunch before our spa services. From 1.5 hours of Turkish saunas, jacuzzi hot tubs and several different saunas and steam rooms to indoor and outdoor pools each moment was amazing. The finale was an hour facial massage for both my husband and myself and from the moment Daniela and Federica got started it was relaxation to the max. Professional ladies, with hands like butter and clouds using beautiful products and amazing massage techniques we were in heaven. Thank you to the lovely Giovanna for organizing and scheduling us. And to the beautiful ladies in the dining lounge thank you for making our luncheon extra special with your beautiful smiles and impeccable service. This is a definite must to add to your bucket list when visiting Villa San Giovanni in Reggio Calabria. Mille Grazie a tutti and we look forward to future visits.
