Back to the Vecchia mill, for a super lunch.. The environment is small but well-kept, the atmosphere intimate and welcoming. The cuisine uses excellent ingredients and enhances them in simple but refined dishes. The service is very attentive, present, never intrusive. For us it is confirmed as a place of the heart

We tried this restaurant in December and really liked it.
We booked for dinner on mid-August.
They welcomed us and sat us at our table.
We ordered.
Four first courses, two second courses, three desserts.
They brought us our dishes promptly, without waiting.
The tagliolini with venison ragù and the spetzle with speck and cheese were good.
I can confirm that the "rabbit ravioli" were really stuffed with rabbit: I found pieces of bone, but it can happen (perhaps in a tavern). What I really didn't like was the flavour: you could taste the speck in the filling, but the flavor of the rabbit... nothing! "His sauce"... indicated on the menu but did not arrive on the plate.
Dish to be completely reviewed.
The cut was cooked well but in my opinion a little Maldon salt is not enough to transform a cooked piece of meat into a finished dish.
No oil, no sauces, no pepper.
Nothing, just two pieces of potato probably added to give some volume to the meat.
The cheek was good but only two small medallions... enough to understand what we were eating.
The hamburger was the best of the main courses but I found a piece of string in the meat (like the one used to tie sausages).
The pistachio semifreddo and the chocolate cake were good.
I asked to finish with a rum and, if there was any, a little dark chocolate.
They brought me a small bowl with chocolate buttons, the ones used to make sweets. Again: in a "level" place this is not done. Better to say "we don't have chocolate". I would have gotten something else.
Considering the level they want to maintain for the restaurant, I would also say that it would have been appropriate to have an explanation of the dishes.
Many small (or big?) errors that made me completely change my opinion.
The quality/price/quantity ratio is not justifiable.
Maybe we'll come back for more feedback.

We came to Vecchia Macina for the second time.
As soon as we arrived we were seated at the table.
The place is small but well-kept, with around thirty seats.
For first courses we ordered spetzle with Trentino carbonara, tagliolini with venison and ravioli filled with rabbit served with its sauce.
The spetzle were nothing short of delicious.
Same for tagliolini.
However, although the ravioli was good, inside the filling there were some small bones but above all there was no trace of the sauce.
For the second course we ordered BlackAngus, a burger and a cheek.
The BlackAngus was good, too bad it was only flavored with Maldon salt.
The burger on the other hand was very good, but it was nothing compared to the melt-in-your-mouth cheek.
To finish we had a chocolate cake with a warm heart and some pistachio semifreddo.
Both delicious.
For my father, however, we got some chocolate and rum, which he personally didn't like either the chocolate or the general composition of the dessert.
The expense was average, neither too high nor too low.
However, I really liked the place not only for the food but also for the kind and always attentive service.
