Agriturismo San Basilio In Salento

A day of total relaxation. Often when you get to know places through social media you risk having too many expectations compared to reality. In this case the belief that we would have found a beautiful, clean place where you can eat well (km 0 products!) was fully confirmed. I do not give 5 stars because there is always room for improvement. For example, I recommend a fence that delimits the parking area given the risk of falling in front of the raised area. The rooms were not evaluated as we did not stay overnight. Highly recommended!!!

The hilltop location with sea view is truly splendid; the family and friendly welcome; the food... well, the meals are prepared with all the products from the garden and the farm and cooked really well by the owner, who really pampers her guests. The 4 stars for the rooms are just an incentive to fix some small, but really small, defects: a shower siphon that doesn't drain very well or the window that opens with difficulty. All things that can really be solved and that don't take anything away from the comfort of the rooms and the beauty of the structure... just small flaws that, if eliminated, would make the San Basilio even more splendid. I won't add photos because those you see on the site correspond to reality: very beautiful structure with greenery and lush plants... the scent of flowers and a breathtaking view

Beautiful scenery, beautiful location, delicious food, booking fail! Positive: Very tasty food, decent value for money. The "family room" was generally very nice, and the host family was very friendly despite the language barrier, especially Lucia and Francesco. Negative: Booking through Expedia. The room that matched the photo description was only provided after two escalations. Apparently, Expedia books specific room numbers. The "great family room" with the large window is number 201! Obviously, only the two lower room categories can be booked through Expedia, but we were able to prove the opposite. A major, easily avoidable annoyance at check-in, which unfortunately somewhat spoiled our stay. It should become the highlight of our trip and felt a bit like fraud, because manager and/or Expedia lied during the booking/check-in process. The furnishings in the room ultimately seemed a bit sparse, but it still exudes a great charm. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking.

Educational farm, they also organize demonstrations for children on how to make cheese. Family atmosphere, homemade food with local products. Average price. Excellent experience. Advise

Beautiful recommended farmhouse

Enchanting place where you can spend days in total relaxation. The kind and qualified staff. Lucia the super cook, the children Francesco and Manuela exceptional people. Excellent and quality food and super abundant, the welcoming rooms with all the comforts and nn as they wrote in the review of a few days ago' the bidets are there and as an impeccable cleanliness and order. What can I say number 1

A real farmhouse where you can find tranquility and good food. The rooms are different, ours is panoramic, basic but quiet, with en-suite bathroom with shower and bidet. Dinner prepared with products grown on the farm. Breakfast with cakes, yogurt and fruit juices, fresh fruit... All prepared by them. The structure also has a beautiful and large swimming pool, clearly not usable at the moment, it's February. There is also a play area for the little ones and a large parking lot. We will definitely be back, maybe to try the pizza
