We had lunch after visiting the Monticchio Lakes. Excellent restaurant with home-made dishes. Homemade pasta, grilled dishes, and excellent braised meat. Prices are reasonable. I'll be back.

Wonderful Cuisine The Food Is Delicious From appetizers to first courses, through to main courses, and finally, fresh fruit salad with local wine, excellent bread, and local water. Surrounded by greenery in the Monticchio Lakes area, in the Heart of Vulture. Come by because the food is truly delicious!

Four of us came for lunch, and everything was delicious. We had a delicious local appetizer and then three different first courses, which were equally delicious! The desserts were delicious! The photos below show one of the desserts we ordered, the ricotta and chocolate chip tart, which I absolutely recommend! The second photo shows the three first courses we ordered, but I'd like to point out that it wasn't just that. First, they brought us a nice plate full of the first course we'd ordered, and shortly after, they brought us these ramekins with more food identical to what we'd already ordered! (For example, I ordered a first course of orecchiette with sauce, and the normal dish arrived, and immediately afterward, they brought me the ramekin with more orecchiette with sauce, which I obviously really appreciated.) The service was perfect, the staff very kind and helpful. I can only recommend this place; if I were to return to the area, I'd definitely eat here again!

Sunday lunch: the place is magnificent, with large outdoor spaces, especially for the little ones, and there are games and a soccer field. The farmhouse antipasto is definitely their strong point; everything is delicious, with generous portions, and you can even ask for seconds on the first course. As a farmhouse, it's definitely the best in the entire Melfi area. I recommend everyone try it; you won't regret it!

29/12/2025: Catapulted into a room reminiscent of a perfectly winter-themed mountain cabin, warm and welcoming, with meticulous attention to detail in the furnishings and table setting, we discovered this burger joint that left us very satisfied. We began with an amuse bouche that perfectly anticipated the flavors we later found in the sandwiches, featuring top-quality meat and decidedly satisfying and comforting accompaniments of sauces, cheeses, and various toppings. We also want to highlight the crispy, well-made fries. The only criticisms were the somewhat slow service and the aesthetically unhelpful choice of sauce on the bun instead of in the bun, making it obviously impractical to eat with your hands (for us, convenience always comes before the foodporn visual effect, especially since the sandwich would have been just as beautiful to look at). We also had a small complaint about the slightly higher-than-average €3 cover charge.
28/12/2025: It's like stepping into a Bud Spencer and Terence Hill movie: a saloon atmosphere, all wood, warm lighting, and a truly refined and evocative setting. The place has a strong identity and immediately makes you feel like you're in the right place for "tough guy" dining. The burgers are excellent, plentiful, and juicy, but the real highlight is the grilled meat: delicious and high-quality, perfectly cooked, and incredibly flavorful. You can tell the ingredients are carefully selected. Overall, the food is excellent. The only downside is the service, which is a bit slow: we waited, especially for the bill. You can tell the staff is sparse for the size of the place, and they're not always very knowledgeable. Overall, though, it's an absolutely worthwhile place for its atmosphere and cuisine. With more experienced service, it would truly be top-notch.

05/01/2026: I can't find the words to describe the attention to detail, the view we could enjoy from every window, and Barbara's helpfulness, which made us feel right at home. We were a group of three families. We also dined at the property's restaurant, which also had excellent food and a truly wonderful atmosphere. I can't recommend it highly enough.
21/12/2025: I only stayed one night (what a shame). Barbara offered a family welcome. We then had dinner, and everything was excellent. The atmosphere was wonderful. In the morning, we met the owner. I recommend it to everyone.
