03/05/2026: The grounds are very well maintained, especially the gardens, which are magnificent. However, the modern section near the pool is a shame: it clashes sharply with the original structure and doesn't blend in. We had dinner in the three-Michelin-starred restaurant. The cuisine clearly doesn't live up to this standard: it lacks refinement, seems very commercial, and is rather ordinary. Furthermore, we were seated in a room where two tables had infants, which is unacceptable for a Saturday night in a restaurant of this caliber. We spent the night there. The rooms are beautiful and well-maintained, but the bathroom is disappointing and really needs a complete renovation. Finally, the service is overly intrusive: the staff is friendly, but lacks discretion and tries to do far too much. In conclusion: it certainly doesn't deserve three stars and is therefore far too expensive for what it is!
25/04/2026: A beautiful, typical Ligurian restaurant, although not adequately cleaned (we found pieces of breadsticks and a dirty fork on the floor under the table: I've attached a photo). The service was very attentive and attentive, but our experience involved a waiter who was quite touchy with us and the tables next to us. The renowned, award-winning soup was good, but the portion was meager for €32. The other dishes were good; the traditional focaccia didn't disappoint, and the same was true for the trofie al pesto. On a personal note: we witnessed the scene where the old owner's son was rude to his father. It wasn't pleasant to see or hear.

06/04/2026: We went to Il Pescatore yesterday for Easter, the second time. The menu was excellent, the same as last year. The private dining room was beautiful, overlooking the garden, and the ambiance was modern and colorful. The price on the menu for all guests was a bit tacky, and the service we received, which as regulars we expected to be different, was disappointing. We received a €20 discount on the €3,120 menu.
28/02/2026: A short story, rather than a review, would be more appropriate to fully convey the experience at this restaurant monument. Indeed, we are dealing with one of the few families—not individuals, but families—who have written the rules of this profession. All this allure leads you to approach us with such respect and curiosity, but also with truly high expectations. Let's clear up any doubts right away: the day was stratospheric. From every perspective. The dishes we savored will certainly be remembered forever, but how could we ever forget the precious time spent talking with Antonio Santini, who honored us with several minutes at the table? For those like me and my friend who love restaurants, it's a bit like a football fan juggling with Maradona. Priceless. The conversation about pumpkin tortelli was memorable, when my companion asked for a sweeter version. With great elegance, the owner explained that the customer shouldn't be a guinea pig in an experiment, but rather recounted the historical evolution of the dish in his family. Then came the masterstroke: from the kitchen came a historic tomato variation, served alongside a classic tortello. The dish was offered. Moving. The service was superb, among the best I've ever seen. The entire staff was commendable, and sommelier Alberto Santin was excellent, recommending a Barbaresco Martinenga 2020 from Marchesi di Grésy, versatile and perfect for the entire meal. I started with the Petit Gris Chiocciole della Pianura with a herb and sweet garlic sauce: elegance, balance, and an irresistible light gratin. Then came the traditional Pumpkin Tortelli with Butter and Parmigiano Reggiano, with amaretti biscuits and mustard. Here, the aim is not to tone down the contrasts, but to enhance them: sweet, savory, and spicy coexist in perfect harmony. Only for the best. For my second course, I chose grilled eel with radicchio from the garden: a dish that speaks to the family's history. The owner summed it up perfectly with one word: ESSENTIALITY. The noble fat of the fish was the star, balanced by the sweet and sour radicchio. Exciting. I finished with the saddle of venison with Cabernet and blueberries, incredibly tender, accompanied by excellent vegetables, especially baby carrots. The final small pastry was followed by a Marsala zabaglione, offered by the owner. We concluded with a 2020 Beerenauslese Cuvée from Kracher, made from botrytized grapes. Thus ended our wonderful experience at Santini's Dal Pescatore. A day that will remain etched in our memories.

07/03/2026: We were fortunate enough to be guests at Miramonti L'altro during a very quiet midweek lunch, so we enjoyed the attentive staff and the splendid bow window overlooking the garden. The location is comfortable and welcoming, as are the welcoming and professional staff. Having opted for the "Chez Philippe" menu, which was blind, the dishes weren't always to our liking, but that was purely down to personal preference. We'll definitely be back for masterpieces like #volevoessereunpomodoro and the iconic risotto, as well as some treats like the amuse-bouche, krapfen, and cannoli from the small pastry shop. An honorable mention goes to the young sommelier Simone: despite his age, he demonstrates a profound knowledge of the subject and a remarkable talent for pairings—definitely a resource worth cultivating and not letting go. See you soon, thank you.

28/04/2026: We stayed at the hotel and this was an absolute highlight of our time in Monza! Ristorante Derby Grill offers a truly beautiful atmosphere; we loved the variety of seating options, especially the glass-enclosed area which is perfect for soaking in the sun while dining. ​Both breakfast and dinner were stellar. While I didn't grab photos of the breakfast spread, it was exceptional and high-quality. For dinner, the risotto and beef pasta (pictured) were standout dishes, and the two appetizers we started with were perfectly prepared and balanced. Every bite was delicious. ​Beyond the food, the service was top-notch—attentive, professional, and warm. If you’re in Monza, this is a must-visit for a refined yet comfortable dining experience. Highly recommended!

I received meticulous attention given my pregnancy, and the staff who looked after us were friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and pleasant. 21/03/2026: What an absolutely incredible experience at Ristorante L'Ambasciata - about 50 mins away from Modena, we were recommended this hidden gem by a friend of ours - incredible decor and atmosphere, and Mirco and his team took incredible care of us. We had their signature lobster and bean soup for entree, shared an amazing shellfish bisque risotto w/ red prawns, and then the whole duck for main - wonderful experience and highly, highly recommend. We are already arranging to return with a group of friends.

04/05/2026: Returning to the Locanda is a gift we give ourselves every now and then, because we know it will be a unique pleasure each time. It's like returning to a familiar, intimate setting, but each time with a new detail: a new ingredient, an extra animal, a book on the (incredible) shelf you hadn't noticed the previous time, a splash of seasonal color. Maria and Davide know how to make you feel welcomed into a timeless place, where it's natural to abandon yourself to the peace that every detail—natural and otherwise—can convey. From appetizers to dessert, you can sense the care and attention to pairings, the respect and gentle love for the raw ingredients, all plant-based. The post-dinner chats are always delightful. This time around, we even stayed in one of their rooms for the first time. It was refreshing. This time, too, they gave us another reason to return. Thank you!

09/04/2026: We returned to this magnificent restaurant for the second time, and once again, the experience was simply splendid. We chose the seafood tasting menu, consisting of four courses paired with glasses selected by the chef: a true culinary journey, thoughtful and harmonious, capable of surprising from start to finish. Among the dishes, the raw seafood appetizer was unforgettable: tuna and salmon carpaccio, oysters, shrimp, scampi, and caviar... a generous selection, enhanced by an excellent champagne, truly thrilling. The vanilla ice cream with salt, pepper, and oil was also surprising, paired with an exquisite passito wine: an original and perfectly executed combination. Special praise goes to the chef, also a sommelier, who paired each course with great skill and sensitivity: a fragrant and fruity New Zealand white wine was memorable. The service was impeccable: the staff were knowledgeable, attentive, and of rare kindness. We felt truly pampered throughout the evening. A restaurant we recommend without hesitation for special occasions, where quality, elegance, and hospitality meet in an excellent way.

12/04/2026: The place is slightly hidden behind staircase leading into it with a beautiful view onto the lake. We had the pleasure to meet the owner and other costumers and have light conversations alongside a variety of cheeses and meats provided to us which I recommend requesting honey and jam as well as olives to accompany your tastings. Time flew by when enjoying good food and company. If wanting to visit the area i highly this experience.

26/04/2026: This is a very local little shop. While we waited for our food, the old man prepared some appetizers, which looked simple but were incredibly delicious. The main dishes were really great value for money. When we left, the old man also kindly offered us chocolate. Most importantly, the prices were incredibly reasonable. I will definitely visit again if I have the chance to come to Milan.
