The meal was outstanding, featuring a fantastic fish menu made with incredibly fresh ingredients sourced directly from their own garden. You can truly taste the quality of the herbs and veggies! To top it off, the sommelier recommended a great wine that matched our menu perfectly. Highly delicious and absolutely recommended!

09/04/2026: I found a specific bottle of wine in this shop, but they gave me a vintage that had already gone bad. This is something a wine shop should know. They also charged me double the price. It's a shame, as they did have a nice collection.

12/08/2026: It was an incredible experience, not just because of the dishes, all exceptional, but because Crescenzo, a true host, takes all the time necessary to make you feel pampered, listened to, and served, in a way that almost never happens anywhere else. In the kitchen, Alessandra prepares exceptional dishes. They are a truly complementary pair: Crescenzo, the easygoing one with the gift of the gab that's essential to making you fall in love with this place, and Alessandra, the shy one, who pours all her love into the dishes she serves. They are the perfect duo to make this place unique. Nothing here is commercial, from the drinks to the wines. In a world where appearances prevail over everything, here being has a central place.
Crescenzo and Alessandra, may life be light for you.

13/04/2026: The staff are attentive and friendly, the rooms are welcoming and meticulously maintained, but the hotel's location and structure don't justify such high prices: we're in the middle of a busy and very noisy area, with few amenities for those who don't want to drive; the garden, though well-kept, is surrounded by buildings and private homes.
We weren't thrilled with breakfast and lunch at the restaurant; we expected much more.

Clearly above many Michelin-starred establishments. Overall, the quality-price ratio is among the best you'll find. Go there.

21/08/2026: We have been coming back to this restaurant every year since 2022, and it has become one of those places we simply cannot visit Naples without returning to.
Their mussels are, without exaggeration, the best we have had anywhere in the world. But it isn’t just the mussels—the pasta and other dishes are beautifully prepared, full of flavour and remarkably refined. What impresses us most is the consistency: year after year, the quality has remained just as high.
This year we finally had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was incredibly warm, generous and genuinely welcoming. It was lovely to discover that the people behind a restaurant we have enjoyed for so many years are every bit as wonderful as the food.
Exceptional food, remarkable consistency, and true Neapolitan hospitality. After four years of returning, I think we can safely say this is one of our favourite restaurants in Naples. We will be back next year.

When you factor in the creativity, the hard work and the creativity in the food - it becomes a bargain.
慢工出细活 - slow work yields fine products.
Sous vide chicken tempura, an unbelievable burnt onion and liquorice linguine (🤯), insanely tender veal tongue. Some really incredible dishes.
Food made with love, where you can feel the passion Gabriele has for proper cooking. This place makes a welcome break from traditional trattoria or osteria cooking.
This is the kind of spot I’d visit first day every time I come back to Florence and will recommend to every person who visits.

21/08/2026: Inspired by the positive reviews, I went to try these cannoli... and what can I say, I was speechless, the quality of the cannoli was exceptional (I've never eaten such a good cannoli), the owners were very kind and super helpful, everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail, from the cleanliness of the place to the quality of the product... What can I say, I will absolutely go back as soon as I'm back in Taormina, I absolutely recommend everyone to try them!!

Returning to Antica Osteria da Cera was much more than sitting in a two-Michelin-star restaurant for me: it was returning to a place where cuisine, memory, sea, and vision meet with a rare ease.
I ate divinely. Each dish spoke of a cuisine crafted with absolute precision, yet never cold: supreme technique, extraordinary ingredients, elegance, depth, and a marine sensibility that only comes from those who truly know fish, respect it, and know how to transform it without betraying it.
From pasta to fish, from shellfish to bread, from the dining room details to the most essential small steps, everything communicates one thing: here, we don't seek effect, we seek the truth of flavor.
For me, it was also a special evening on a personal level: I chanced upon a loved one whom I hadn't seen in 10 years, and I had the pleasure of reuniting with Chef Lionello Cera, with whom I had the honor of collaborating in the past. Rediscovering that human, as well as professional, quality made the experience even more intense.
Antica Osteria da Cera is one of those places where you understand that great Italian dining isn't just about cooking: it's about family, territory, discipline, identity, and continuity.

We had the opportunity to try both one of the tasting menus offered and several à la carte dishes, finding precise, well-executed cuisine that showcases the finest ingredients with balance.
A special mention goes to the spaghetti with sea urchins: a dish that captivates with its intensity, balance, and clean flavors, a must-try.
The presentation is also meticulously crafted, with attentive, yet unobtrusive service. The elegant and pleasant location completes a gastronomic experience that convinced us in every way.
A restaurant definitely worth discovering.
