There are few places today that combine elegance, high quality and class of cuisine with a homely atmosphere. You can find something like that in Mumant. Such loving and courteous service paired with cuisine that combines elegance, sophistication and quality while remaining true to its roots.
The starters are cleverly combined, alongside classics, there are always unexpected twists that take classic dishes like venison tartare to a higher level. The main courses are of a very high standard and the proportions are almost oversized. The desserts are sophisticated and cleverly designed - everyone will find something, whether a light sorbet or the classic chocolate course in the form of a cigar, leaving nothing to be desired.
The wine list is small but perfectly coordinated with the menu cards. The kitchen is always willing to do something different upon request or, for example, to organize a fish course if ordered in advance (e.g. branzino in a salt crust).
Overall, the Mumant leaves nothing to be desired. Classics of South Tyrolean cuisine meet international class here in an upscale manner. A visit during your stay in Alta Badia is definitely worth it.
A restaurant for special occasions that certainly leaves nothing to be desired. The price-performance ratio is excellent given the quality and service!!

Holy moly we were not prepared for how good of a meal this was. Every dish was a hit in its own way: the Taglioni with truffle was beautifully rich; the activated charcoal ravioli were like having smoky BBQ but somehow without any meat (also they present it in a smoky bell jar); the calenderi on vegetables was soft and a delicious mix with the hint of fennel; the fried carciofi (artichoke) with fondue and egg and truffle was an unexpectedly marvelous pairing; the peanut Bavarian cream dessert was also a flavorful treat. The staff were also very sweet and with a full dining room, the ambiance was really cozy and romantic. Would 100% come back!

Amazing food with attentive staff. The table and the venue are decorated nicely. Table napkin was held in a ring, which was a cute and nice touch. The food was generally nice, but the venison was a particular stand out. The venison was cooked perfectly and went really nicely with the sauce and cabbage. Dessert was also nice, and the ice cream was amazing.

A highlight in St. Kassian - a very special restaurant. Modern, warm atmosphere, very good and refined cuisine, friendly and fast service! Delicious dishes, well presented and modern - and you'll get full too 😉. A rich (including local) wine selection complements the meal very nicely.
Not cheap, but worth every euro!
Reservation recommended.

My favorite restaurant in Alta Badia. The menu is not very extensive, but the dishes are delicious and prepared. Elegant without being haughty, the restaurant is part of the Garni Jasmin complex. The Milanese is interesting with the puccia variant. To try!

It was a wonderful couple's dinner that I will remember. The place is gorgeous and very comfortable.
We ate cajinci, taglioni and veal tomahawk which is cooked at the table.
One of the super places on my list.

The Mumant is an absolute highlight for us. The food is of the best quality and prepared with attention to detail. An absolute delight. The service is very attentive and super friendly. It couldn't be better!!!!
We always look forward to our vacation, where the 900 km is worth the trip just for the food and service.

Tutti i piatti ben serviti, di ottima qualità , tra cui menzione per il filetto di cervo, anche se di origine neozelandese (ci han detto per la qualità che ne si ottiene che effettivamente c’era), e gli antipasti tutti squisiti. Anche tagliolini al ragù per i bambini cosi come la cotoletta dall’impanatura sapiente . Molto gentili, consigliato
