The restaurant is well known but we only went there for some ceremonies. Instead, last week, by chance we stopped for lunch (we finally found a seat 😁) and I must say that we ate really well, like at home, which is a peculiarity that seems like nothing but is disappearing, because with the new chefs is always looking for innovation (but who wants it? ). I like the smell of a trattoria and simple dishes and we have, without a doubt, found them here. Fettuccine (handmade!) with porcini mushrooms, lamb and potatoes (like those of the past)... VERY GOOD. Then fast and friendly service. Super honest price. We will definitely be back.

Historic restaurant and hotel in Castro dei Volsci, a point of reference for any event, impeccable cuisine and service, the owners Giuseppe and Luca friendly and professional, highly recommended for me.

The Place To Be

27/02/2025: Piatti ottimi, locale decisamente ben messo e accogliente. Buonissime le linguine con a bisque di gamberi e gamberi rosso. Valore aggiunto il blues in sottofondo
26/02/2025: Happened by chance on a midweek evening for dinner after a day of work. Small place, well looked after, welcoming and not too formal. Very nice, helpful and friendly staff. It was just us and we happily stopped to chat with the staff before and after dinner. Very good food, well-crafted presentation where quality is preferred over quantity so don't expect truck driver portions (see photo). We had a great time and spent a pleasant evening away from home. In my opinion, the price is right for the quality, I'm not looking for a binge.

17/02/2025: What can I say! Everything 🔝 starting from the location, not least the kindness of the staff and the amazing food. Beautiful open kitchen... today commenting with the hotelier where I stayed, I don't think I exaggerated by saying "it's not a simple dinner but an experience!" I recommend the cut with tequila & lime and in the appetizers cheese and pears, grilled vegetables with raclette and in the desserts dishwasher fruit and banana but just by reading about them you would taste them all! The price is proportionate to what you eat! Standing ovation for this place
16/02/2025: Nice and welcoming place, very friendly and helpful staff. Even though we didn't have a reservation, the owner immediately found us a table. I had already been once and I immediately ordered my skewered parmigiana which I think is fantastic (I am a vegetarian) but my friend ordered the tagliatelle which he found very good accompanied by an excellent glass of red wine and the magnificent pepper and lime chips
