My wife and I came to El Pael for dinner and loved it so much we returned the next evening. The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, especially the grilled meats, cooked at high temperatures to enhance their flavor and texture: truly excellent. At the end of the evening, we met Roberto, the owner, who was also Italy's best sommelier in 2017. His passion for wine is evident and reflected in a carefully selected and original selection: he suggested unexpected pairings, with wines we weren't familiar with, which proved to be perfect with the dishes we chose. The service was also impeccable: attentive, friendly, but never intrusive. A great mix of professionalism and a relaxed atmosphere. A place where you can eat and drink truly well, with people who know what they do and are passionate about it. We'll definitely be back!

What can I say: everything is truly sublime! The cheeses are accompanied by the owner's precise explanations. The tartare and octopus are exquisite! A very quiet, elegant, and relaxing place. For a different kind of evening...

A true culinary discovery in Canazei! We ordered the tasting menu, starting with smoked trout with apricot and basil mayo — delicate and beautifully balanced. The ravioli with speck and smoked ricotta was rich yet refined. We also had the local cheese tasting plate — six types of cheeses paired with honey, jams, dark chocolate, crumble, and artisanal bread. An amazing composition of flavors! The platter of local cold cuts was equally excellent: thinly sliced, high-quality meats served with pickled vegetables. The bottle of Riesling matched everything perfectly. Service was friendly and professional, with a cozy Alpine ambiance. El Pael is a place worth returning to.

I think it's worth stopping at this restaurant. The risk of blending in or getting lost in the crowd is high. Fortunately, A great deal of research and professionalism distinguish this place from the many offers. The cheese selection is particularly appreciated. The research behind each pairing alone should be praised (it was spot on, by the way). The selection of wines we chose from was wonderful. The meat was truly top-notch. The price was absolutely reasonable considering what we ate and how much we drank (especially considering the quality of what we drank). The service was excellent and the customer service was top-notch. Compliments to them. We will definitely be back. Thanks for the wonderful evening. Highly recommended.

Incredible service. They made you feel very welcome from the first moment you walk into the restaurant. We sat Outside with a beautiful view. The owner is the Italian sommelier champ of 2017 and needless to say, extremely knowledgeable. He even showed us his impressive wine cellar. Our food was delicious and we have since then recommended this restaurant to everyone else for dinner. Highly recommended

The staff is friendly and very attentive... in a welcoming way. The atmosphere is modern. Perfect for those with a decent knowledge of wine, as the place has an excellent selection. Good, high-quality food. I really enjoyed the mountain butter served at the beginning. Excellent coffee: beyond the taste, if I ask for a long coffee, I finally get a long one, with a great aroma, and in a large cup. Recommendation. Let's not complain about the price, which can be a bit higher than usual... quality comes at a price.

Welcoming restaurant, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Given the variety of cuts of meat offered, the quality was on par with traditional cuts of meat. The quality/price ratio was average to high.

Order the tenderloin which was great. Wife took the trout pasta and she just loved it. Service was great with the waiter telling us all about the food and wines suggestions to match it to the food. A bit on the pricy end but I can recommend it.
