I stayed at Hotel Palazzo Grillo: The standard small hotel room was fine (solo travel). The hotel is different to the chains which I liked. The building is interesting and the staff helpful and friendly. Knockout though is the location in the heart of the old town yet quietly protected from the hubbub of the tourist streets. Good bar in the square and . . . of particular note is the typical local small bar Bar Delle Vigne just around the corner in Vico Del Greci where Daniel and his Father helped with my none existent Italian, made me feel welcome and included me in the general chat. Pointed me to the best local (none tourist ) Italian restaurants.
