Bar Carosi In

I recommend it. It's a nice place in Castel Gandolfo.

A good, healthy orange juice, accompanied by a tasty croissant, and the day takes on a positive tone. A citizen of the castle returning to his wild native village cannot miss this historic bar in the Apostolic Square, where time seems to have stood still.

We had breakfast at this lovely café in the historic center with our beloved Weimaraner. They gave us a warm welcome and are pet-friendly. The interior dining room is very charming, decorated for Christmas. The cappuccino and coffee were delicious, and the pasticciotto alla crema was delicious. My husband had a delicious custard with Nemi strawberries. The service was attentive and courteous. Prices are reasonable for the quality and service. Also recommended for granitas during the summer.

Truly a great place! Lovely location in the main square and a super friendly stuff that spoke very good english. We had a coffee, sandwitches, orange juice and some sweets. Everything was fresh and super tasty, especially the wild strawberry tarte. It’s definitely the best place in Castel Gandolfo for a breakfast or a coffee.

Given its central location, our expectations were very high. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The coffee and pastry we enjoyed at the counter were of only modest quality, neither good nor bad. What really left us perplexed, however, was the cleanliness: the coffee cup had streaks on it, and the counter in general didn't convey a sense of great care. We weren't thrilled with the ambiance either. Finally, the service was rushed and inattentive. A real shame, because such a strategic location deserves more attention to detail.
