19/03/2024: Great hotel location for Orta san Gulio. Very welcoming & accommodating staff, free parking which is a bonus in this area. Short walk to the town. View from the Suite terrace was fabulous!

09/05/2024: Booked for May 1st, we were undecided between two restaurants and were more interested in another which however had no room. Even reading the reviews, the impression is that the location is excellent but the food is not so good... from personal experience I have to disagree! The welcome was excellent, a young waitress pleasantly looked after us throughout the lunch, making the atmosphere even more pleasant. The dishes were delicious, we ordered two first courses, two second courses and two desserts. The price is appropriate for the dishes. Not the usual chic restaurant with mini portions that we were expecting, we finished lunch satisfied. Excellent experience, we will be back.

09/05/2024: We arrive around 9pm, some people sitting at the tables. The venue is beautiful and in a wonderful location... and that's where the fun ends. We ask for 3 coffees and two ice creams, the answer was that if we wanted the coffees we had to sit down and it was not possible to have the ice creams, all with the ice cream counter in plain sight and completely lit. We left so stunned that we even laughed and wondered if it had really happened!

18/03/2024: We were on the first evening of our stay in this very nice and welcoming pizzeria in the center of Orta. In addition to the really good pizza, we were satisfied by the kind and welcoming staff also towards Bloom, our golden retriever who was very happy to have spent an evening in the company of people who loved her. We recommend it for every aspect!

It's just a shame that charging for an electric car, which represents a great convenience and added value, costs a disproportionate amount and is therefore not usable. Ample parking availability

04/05/2024: Unfortunately I wasn't able to have lunch or dinner in the only restaurant on the island of San Giulio but upon entering the bar to purchase a couple of mineral waters, the beautiful and attentive lady at the bar counter allowed me to visit the part of the restaurant with lake view: "the terrace on the lake" and briefly explained to me how the dinners "work"! There are three "pick-ups" (to use the word she used): at 7.30pm, 8.00pm and 8.30pm from the Orta pier which are none other than the departures of the private boat service that takes customers directly to the restaurant. Evening reservations: for dinner, are essentially based on availability at these three times. Finding myself sitting on a bench in the square of Orta right in front of the island on Saturday evening, I could see the comings and goings of the boat bringing the diners of the restaurant back to dry land! PS From what I could see the position of the terrace is not strictly in front of Orta, in short the view you can enjoy is more towards the open lake, towards Gozzano, if I'm not mistaken, BUT this does not mean that dining there in the evening must be extremely suggestive and romantic!

22/03/2024: A great local restaurant with a 2 course set menu lunch for €13. We had pasta followed by delicious fish with orange and a salad. Seating inside and on the terrace.

17/03/2024: Very welcoming place with young, efficient and smiling staff. We really appreciated the fish and vegetable starter, the pizza was excellent with a thin and delicious base, the Neapolitan pastiera was extraordinary. A valid alternative to lunch on the lakefront, here at the club there is plenty of free parking, a beautiful view of the church and the surrounding countryside and lots of tranquility

26/03/2024: Domenica sono stata a far merenda in questo bar situato vicino al parcheggio Prarondo con vista montagne innevate. Posto tranquillo e carino e il personale gentile. Ho preso un caffè macchiato molto buono che sembrava quasi un cappuccino 😋 È stata una bella pausa dopo aver fatto la gita sull'Isola di San Giulio e nel centro centro storico. Consigliato!

13/02/2024: An excellent refreshment point. every time I'm passing through on my motorbike outings, a stop is a must. The girls are very good, kind and always quick with service. I recommend it to everyone.

28/12/2023: Pur essendo a vocazione turistica merita un giro anche se non lo si è. Proprietario gentilissimo nel mettere a suo agio l'ospite, servizio buono e panorama eccellente, forse il nome suggerisce anche di passarci una serata, mi sa che vale. Piatti che spaziano dalla pizzeria al ristorante, nessuno da Michelin ma tutti di buona qualità.
