03/01/2026: For our first dinner of the day in the area, last Sunday we dined at Ciccio alla Capannaccia, a charming country trattoria located near Acquapendente and winner of an episode of Alessandro Borghese's "4 Ristoranti" in 2016. It offers a wide-ranging menu of local cuisine (including several off-menu dishes) using top-quality ingredients. The restaurant is welcoming and the service is very friendly, with the owner, Ciccio, being truly charming. After choosing our wine, an excellent Sangovese Thybris 2023 from Castello di Corbara, we began with pici carbonara with black truffle and pici "alla Ciccio" (mushrooms, sausage, wild fennel, and pecorino cheese), both delicious. We then shared a tender Mangalica pork fillet with baked potatoes. Finally, desserts included a mascarpone cream with almond brittle and a Nutella panna cotta. A water, two coffees, and two liqueurs were kindly offered, bringing the final bill to €96 for two, which is extremely reasonable. Highly recommended, and we can't wait to return!

02/01/2026: Ristorante da Ciccio in La Capannaccia is a place you absolutely must try. The welcome is incredible: it feels like family here. The menu is meticulously explained, both in detail and in its preparation. All the dishes are enticing, but in the end, unfortunately, you have to make a choice. The appetizer is delicious, the fried dishes and the trio of artichokes are amazing. The pizza, leavened for 48 hours, is a true delight for the palate. The first courses are excellent, but the meat dishes, prepared with culinary expertise, are especially worth trying. Here, you should relax and let yourself be guided in choosing quality products masterfully prepared. You don't come to Da Ciccio for the location or just to eat, but to be pampered and enjoy a pleasant and unforgettable experience. It's been 10 years since he won on Alessandro Borghese's show, but Ciccio's cuisine has steadily improved over the years and today it is considered a true Italian excellence to be enjoyed and preserved. Bravo, Ciccio, you're a genius!

03/03/2026: Centrally located, clean rooms with everything you need! I had dinner at their restaurant and had a wonderful pizza and other dishes! The staff were very welcoming, and the owners are very nice and kind and make you feel right at home! Thank you for everything!

07/02/2026: Excellent restaurant with good value. I recommend the very delicate wild boar in the homemade tagliolini. The lamb is excellent. Parking is a stone's throw away in the center.

08/03/2026: Quality, not quantity, is king here. Quality local products from Viterbo or Italian producers specializing in unique ingredients. If you're looking for a place to eat until you drop and pay little, this isn't the place. Instead, you'll find seasonal dishes that showcase local produce and craftsmanship, not to mention a vast selection of wines. Careful research and attention to detail are key. And the quality-price ratio is absolutely competitive. It deserves more than 5 stars. Highly recommended.

14/02/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance. We booked it through Booking.com. It's a restaurant/pizzeria with six rooms upstairs, mostly used by pilgrims on the Via Francigena. It was a surprise. The place is nice and well-kept. The rooms are large, comfortable, and simple, yet very cozy. The restaurant/pizzeria is excellent. The food and drink are excellent. Excellent wine list. The food and wine are especially local. The focus is on organic, local, and social aspects. A great experience.

29/03/2026: We've been wanting to plan a vacation to visit the city of Viterbo and some of the surrounding province for a while, so we booked at Agriturismo Sant'Angelo in Acquapendente. It was a wonderful experience. The property is beautiful, meticulously maintained, with a fabulous view. We discovered that Tuscia is a wonderful region. We'll be back soon.

29/03/2026: Everything is always excellent, but there is a flaw and I can't help but warn you out of respect for your psychological balance. Eat the pizza, enjoy the courgette flowers, drink the excellent Guinness on tap, put your finger anywhere on the menu and go ahead, you won't be disappointed, but woe betide you, woe betide you poor things, stay away from the Nutella shovel, it's sneaky and alluring but it's addictive like nothing else in the world :) :)

21/01/2026: We often go to this lovely pub. They have fantastic pizza. The staff is always kind, helpful, and above all patient. We always stop by with the kids, and they put up with us. I recommend always making a reservation because it's very busy and you might not get a seat.

05/04/2026: We discovered Pulicaro on Ecobnb and decided to book an Easter stay at this agriturismo, impressed by their values ​​and philosophy. Everything lived up to our expectations! Pulicaro is a beautiful stone farmhouse managed with care and love by Chiara, Marco, and all the staff. It's an ideal place to stay, recharge, and sample traditional local cuisine, often made with products from their farm! The agriturismo's location is also on the border between Lazio, Umbria, and Tuscany. It's a great base for exploring Tuscia. Excellent value for money! A wonderful experience, highly recommended.

03/04/2026: This is a true regenerative farm with a focus on soil health and the food it produces. The people are so friendly and generous!

27/10/2025: Extraordinary!! Delicious food, extraordinary natural wines, and a sensational welcome! The owner is extremely friendly and manages to convey his love for good. I recommend it 300%!!! I tasted a dish that on paper seemed simple (a buffalo mozzarella crust) but wrapped in three strips of Italian bacon, baked in the oven. A treat!

19/10/2025: A very welcoming and quiet place, with little conversation and plenty of warmth even inside. Excellent wines. The very kind and competent staff made us feel right at home for an hour. There are a few tables outside, but they're definitely well-managed. We'll be back.
