24/12/2025: Gourmet lunch in Piedmont Beautiful setting in a small Piedmont village, with attentive and fast service. We enjoyed an aperitif, two glasses of prosecco, and were served four entrées: a chickpea cone, a savory baba, a blue cheese and hazelnut tart, and tomato chips with fresh cream and anchovies with lemon jelly. Very special. There were several tasting menus available, as well as the à la carte menu. We chose the Territory and Tradition tasting menu for €70 per person. Typical Monferrato dishes presented with care. Piedmontese Fassona tartare, rosemary and mustard, smoked egg yolk and shallots, truly excellent. Traditional plinth, roast gravy and thyme, Piedmontese fillet, celeriac, black cabbage, and Bordeaux sauce. Everything was delicious. The pre-dessert, you either love it or hate it, was a very special vinegar sorbet. The dessert: I'm not...a Bonet! Made with the ingredients of a bunet. We were served a small pastry along with coffee and four small sweets. Drinks are not included. Cover charge is €5, 75cl water €4, and we spent €208 for two. Recommended for a special occasion.

Reviews speak of creative, well-structured cuisine featuring traditional Piedmontese dishes revisited with modern touches, thoughtful tastings, and excellent wine pairings. The vegetarian options are also well-received for their emphasis on seasonal ingredients. The setting, housed in a beautifully restored historic villa, is truly evocative, with a frescoed interior and refined atmosphere, perfect for a romantic evening or an important occasion.

14/01/2026: We had dinner here a few days ago and everything was perfect. The atmosphere was relaxing, perfect for enjoying excellent seafood dishes paired with excellent wines. The service was impeccable. We'll definitely be back!

09/01/2026: A restaurant in the heart of Martina Franca's historic center. A very intimate atmosphere with seating for about 30. Excellent food, with surprisingly large portions, considering the gourmet cuisine. The Gaonas meatballs are truly exceptional. Exceptional and impeccable service; they truly care about their customers. The price is fair considering the quality of the products. Highly recommended.

15/01/2026: We had an absolutely outstanding dinner at Borgo San Jacopo for my husband’s birthday back in October. The restaurant itself is both cozy and beautiful and the service was attentive without feeling like someone was hovering over you all evening. We were given the option of ordering a la carte or a choice of 3 tasting menus with the caveat that if you choose a tasting menu the whole table must choose the same one. We went with a tasting menu and really loved the number of courses that it allowed us to sample. Favorite dishes were the ricotta snack, risotto with meatballs, the lamb loin and the salted caramel peanut bonbon at the end. The mushroom ice cream that was served with the crudités was very interesting and we also loved the house made olive oil. They really made my husband’s birthday feel special and it was one of our best meals in Italy.

05/01/2026: Having ended up there after being bounced from another restaurant, we were welcomed and taken on an exciting tasting menu. The quality of the ingredients combined with the chef's skill produce dishes that are unpredictable and delicious in every way. The service was impeccable, with a professionalism rarely found, even at other Michelin-starred restaurants. A huge round of applause and thanks to Domiziana, Lorenzo, and Salvatore.

Compliments to Chef Graziano and the dining room staff. Everyone was professional, kind, and friendly. The best restaurant in Cortina!

30/09/2025: We went to Tivoli to celebrate our wedding, we eloped and chose Tivoli for our “reception”, and it was the most amazing experience imaginable. I can honestly say I have never had a better meal. Leading up to the evening, some of our family members were a little unsure, even intimidated, because of the Michelin star. But from the very moment we walked in, the staff (including the chef himself) were so warm, welcoming, and kind. All nerves immediately were gone, and what followed was an unforgettable evening. Between us, we tried three different tasting menus, and every single course was absolute perfection. The wine pairings were equally flawless, each one a highlight in its own right. The amuse bouches to start were unreal, so generous and delicious. The chef even surprised us with celebratory champagne, which made the evening feel all the more special. As a vegetarian, I was especially blown away by the vegetarian tasting menu. It was intentional, thoughtful, and exquisite and clearly not an afterthought, which is often the case elsewhere. Every bite felt like it had been crafted with care and creativity. Our meal at Tivoli will forever be a highlight of our trip and of our wedding day. And it’s not just us, every person in Cortina we spoke with, when we mentioned Tivoli, immediately told us it was their favorite restaurant in town. Clearly, our experience was not an anomaly. Tivoli went above and beyond in every way to make our wedding celebration unforgettable. If you are in Cortina, you must eat here, it is truly extraordinary.

11/12/2025: Child-friendly? Minimum two courses? Dress code??? AND YOU CALL IT CROTTO? (etymologically derived from cave)... You are truly grotesque inhabitants, SHAME ON YOU!!! True and genuine Valtellina hospitality is something else entirely!

02/01/2026: We stumbled upon it by pure chance, but the staff were immediately super welcoming and helpful in finding us a table. The atmosphere is elegant, with a view of the Arno River, fast service, and delicious food. We highly recommend it!

20/01/2026: A truly pleasant experience. The place is well-kept and welcoming. Ms. Antonella welcomed us warmly and attentively without being intrusive. We tried the appetizer of mortadella and focaccia, the braised pork, and finally the tiramisu (I've attached photos that will speak for themselves 🤤). I really appreciated the quality of the ingredients. Excellent balance of flavors and adequate portions. Ms. Antonella, while we waited for our dishes, delighted us with seeded bread and homemade taralli, truly delicious. A restaurant I recommend and will gladly return to.

20/12/2025: In two weeks, two dinners, one with friends and one with my life partner; there's a reason, and I'll tell you. The atmosphere is deliberately simple, like the typical trattorias you find in Emilia-Romagna: clean and comfortable, you feel right at home. The service is discreet, always present at the change of courses, and full of suggestions. The food is a wide selection, including typical Ferrarese dishes and expertly blended with the surrounding area. To date, I've tasted, first, Ferrarese salami pie, chef's grill, second, Ferrarese pasticcio with truffle, and "vellutata" (velvety) polenta with salami... well, gentlemen, I absolutely must return for a round of just the latter, Her Majesty the Polenta, soft and velvety, paired with a variety of toppings... I'll try them all soon. See you soon.

09/12/2025: Compliments to the chef and all his staff, who were friendly and provided a wonderful welcome, just like home. Excellent, well-prepared food, high quality. Recommended: Truffled cutlet (I won't let you post a photo) ❤️❤️

08/12/2025: For a special meal, the Apollonia Inn is a great place. The dishes looked and tasted delicious. When we were there, they offered vegan chestnut cream soup and potato rösti with various vegetables and cream. Unfortunately, the soup was only partially vegan. It should have also included beetroot and potato fritters. Furthermore, the portions weren't very large, so we were feeling a bit hungry again after a short while. We commend their commitment to catering to vegans. A vegan "standard" or simple dish would be the next logical step.

06/12/2025: Well, what can I add that hasn't already been said? Fantastic food from a small menu. South Tyrolean classics with an Italian twist. Plus, a focus on regional ingredients, but not overdone. Our service was truly delightful and very attentive. And then, of course, the covered terrace offers a picture-perfect panoramic view of the valley. There's a nice playground for children in front of the building. Prices are slightly on the high side, but almost too good to be true considering the quality. The selection of local non-alcoholic beers was a pleasant surprise. You can definitely see a trend there. A detour from the valley is well worth it, especially when it's over 30 degrees Celsius "down below." Reservations are recommended.

15/12/2025: I stopped in for lunch on October 30th, 2025 while strolling around Orvieto. It started to rain, so I stopped inside for a hot break. I was in a bit of a hurry, so I could only order something light, but the friendly service warmed my heart. The pasta and tiramisu were both delicious ❤ Grazie!

14/12/2025: The best wild boar ragu I've ever had, flavorful and with plenty of minced wild boar (not just a few pieces by mistake like at many other places) and a generous portion. The umbrichelli all'aglione and the pork shank, which comes with side dishes, are also very good. The atmosphere is a bit cramped but comfortable. Prices are very reasonable for the quality offered. Highly recommended.
