01/04/2024: I liked it. The quality of the food is excellent, cooked with grace and attention. The appetizers prepared according to tradition and the quality grilled meat. A round of applause for the green sauce on the tomino, I would have brought some home to eat on bread😄👍. Well done. I'll be back.

18/11/2023: Small camper area, but very nice and quiet, very kind managers. Excellent dinner, very good chef and friendly service. I advise. A stone's throw from the center.

20/02/2024: Il piccolo borgo pieno di saliscendi caratteristici, con una terrazza dalla vista mozzafiato sugli appezzamenti sottostanti non poteva che ospitare un locale altrettanto caratteristico, seppur super moderno! Il wine bar è in pieno centro storico, lo si incontra lungo la salita verso la terrazza, sbirciando dal portone si scorge il cortile interno, ben curato negli arredi e complementi, ed il locale interno, su due livelli, con pochi coperti. Tovagliette e tovaglioli in tessuto non tessuto più carine delle classiche in carta, personale sorridente e competente. Passando al cibo, buonissimo il vitello tonnato e originale la presentazione delle acciughe del cantabrico al verde; il tagliere di salumi e formaggi serviti con miele e nocciole è molto buono, poi se tutto è accompagnato da un calice di Alta Langa di Fontanafredda non c'è bisogno di aggiungere altro... Un pranzetto davvero gradevole!! Carta dei vini ovviamente molto varia. Prezzi in linea con la tipologia di locale. Esperienza ripetibile!!

16/02/2024: Note positive: location e servizio, la ragazza che ci ha seguiti è stata davvero gentile e professionale. Il resto è TUTTO da rivedere. Si mostra come un ristorante con piatti ricercati, ma la qualità è davvero pessima e a prezzi sopra la media.

24/04/2024: I had dinner in the bistro. The food is of excellent quality but the menu choice is truly minimal. I also didn't find the choice of wines by the glass adequate for the cost. Although I was not dissatisfied with the dinner at all, I did not find this restaurant up to the average quality of the restaurants in the Langhe.

23/04/2024: We have already stayed in this hotel before in August 2021 and came back this month (April 2024) because we liked this place a lot at the first time. The hotel (we rented a spacy suite) is still as beautiful as we remembered it, however I have to critically comment on the Osteria, which is their in-house fine dining restaurant (there is another more basic restaurant upstairs we did not visit). Back in 2021 we ate at the Osteria twice and we were so delighted with their excellent dishes that we decided to come here again this year. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed this time on two consecutive nights: After the first course I already suspected they must have changed their chef and this turned out to be true (we did not check before - our fault). People’s tastes are different and our negative impressions could be due to our ignorance - of course. On the other hand we spent years eating in expensive restaurants with and without Michelin stars. What we DID notice is that the restaurant crew made a tremendous effort to prepare the food for us - and we do appreciate this - but still the results did not convince us at all. I cannot get into all the specifics of the many dishes we had because otherwise this text would become even more lengthy. But I think they are missing on many crucial points and it already shows in the way they present themself for example in that little menu flyer they gave us beforehand (our verdict: self indulgent greenwashing, puts THEM very much in the center of attention and NOT the guest, use of cliches like “No Rules“…) or in the giant wood toy locomotive they put on the table with some fortune cookies when they bring the bill (is there a train station nearby? Isn’t this a little silly?). Now, what made things worse for us was their meticulous obsession with old school rituals of how to serve the food and other ceremonies around the table. They really danced around us in sync like in some bizarre puppet string opera putting stuff here and there and nervously inching items on the table around for some pointless millimeters. Even though we are old (70 and 60 years of age) we don‘t believe this to be appropriate to this extent and we perceived it as being overdone. We ate at three star Michelin restaurants were they toned these procedures down quite a bit and it actually made us much more comfortable. Grant your guests some privacy. For example just put the bottle of water on the table after initially filling the glass instead of bringing it far away and have some assisting waiter filling the glass after every tiny nip - ALL THE TIME. We are not Kleopatra in some 50is Hollywood Movie or King Charles at an official dinner. The ceremony should be downsized in our view. The main object should still be the food itsself. Then things got totally out of hand with us and the atmosphere turned tense at the edge of a dispute when we were constantly asked how we like the food (clearly expecting and almost demanding a praise!!! “Good” was clearly not accepted - they wanted to hear something more laudatory) even though it was already clear we were not that happy. I think it is bad for both sides to stick to table rituals when they don’t serve a purpose anymore and just poison the atmosphere. If you notice the customer is not so inclined you should show some common sense, accept the criticism and move on at a low key. Don’t keep pushing until you have an open confrontation! It is OK to have different opinions about dishes and it is not a reason to get openly demanding and resentful towards your customer!!! During the other days of our stay in this beautiful hotel we turned to some other restaurants nearby (both Michelin listed, one had a star) and we found wonderfully what we were looking for.

02/04/2024: For Easter Monday lunch €35 per person we ate quality and quantity, mixed starter, two first courses and one second course, including drinks, dessert and coffee. Several encore courses were offered to us. Particular attention was paid to a lactose intolerant person, lots of availability with dishes different from the menu. Excellent welcome in particular by Mr Lorenzo, who was really kind and helpful, always present in the room. Ample parking, beautiful immense location in nature.
