03/10/2023: Many restaurants in central Verona are an insult to Italian cuisine, as the old city has become overwhelmed with tourists. This one, just about 200m the ‘wrong side’ of p. dei signori, is an exception. The food was outstanding, service impeccable. Not cheap but better value than many. We went a second time a couple of days after our first visit, and were not disappointed. The menu is less extensive than some (no fish of any kind when we went, for example, and a choice of only about 8 or 10 for each of primo and secondi) but all was extremely good. 26/04/2024: Sushi? Pokes? Ramen? I always hate to leave a negative review. I'm not from Cuneo and we ended up here to meet up with friends halfway. Chose the place due to the positive reviews. What to say? Very little choice on the menu… sushi… sushi? But also not. The poke? Not even that either. I couldn't tell you why I didn't order the Ramen. At the end of the meal, fortune cookies with a package written in German. I guess the floor was very dirty because the soles remained half stuck, the smell of fried food permeated the whole place and unfortunately also our clothes. It's a shame because in such a small place it wouldn't take much to do better.

24/05/2024: We went for the second time tonight. The hardest thing for a restaurant is to replicate a positive experience and that's okay. However tonight was a disaster. The place had a strong cooking smell, not to mention one of the waitresses whose smell was nauseating, to put it mildly. We paid 90 euros for two ravioli, two ramen, two glasses of sake, now I feel that sensation of having ingested a corpse. Maybe it made a difference that the owner wasn't there?

20/05/2024: Absolutely one of the best ramen in the capital. After years I came back here to eat. The broth is very good, the quantity of noodles is just right, and the quality is absolutely superior to ramen that use noodles and or ready-made ingredients. I took the basic version, as shown in the photo, which included egg, nori seaweed and spring onions. Given that you can still order other toppings as extras, for what the price is I would have appreciated a little more included or a slightly higher quantity. However, more than satisfactory. The onighiri excellent. The one with caramelized konbu is truly done by the book. The service is really good, very kind and discreet. I underline this because in many foreign cuisine restaurants the staff is sometimes a bit intrusive, because perhaps they want to explain, talk etc. The atmosphere is perfect. The room and furnishings are very well looked after. I will definitely go back. Advised

25/04/2024: Great convenient location in the heart of Lecce, close to the best tourist attractions nice spacious hi end set up and ambience with excellent fusion Asian Western food with excellent wine recommendations from the restaurant. Most likely you will be hosted by the boss himself, a gentleman with 40 plus years of restauranteur experience.

21/04/2024: So honestly, always make a reservation on Saturdays if you want to eat out. After half an hour and many cancellations later, the four of us ended up at the Asian Restaurant Fugu. Our stomachs were all in our knees. The first euphoria quickly disappeared after we had drunk the first water and the second water, but still no one wanted or could take our order. When asked, they said someone would be coming soon. At some point our order was taken and then we waited 50 minutes for the first appetizer to arrive. Then we waited forever again for the second appetizer we ordered. Even our deck of cards, which we unpacked out of sheer desperation, no longer helped at some point. When the main courses finally came, we were already hungry. Conclusion: The food was very tasty, but the hour-long wait was terrible. If you come here to eat, you should have enjoyed a snack beforehand.

12/02/2024: On the door the sign "NO ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT": finally I can eat only what I want without the moral duty to fill my stomach because I paid for it. I didn't book and I couldn't find people. Excellent food, sometimes better than other renowned places in the area (Xiao Mai space dishes, very hot because they have just been steamed, garnished with pea cream). The cuisine is essentially Japanese, but some Chinese dishes escape us, given that the restaurant is family-run by a Chinese couple. The environment is a bit modest, but pleasantly quiet, there are few seats and the takeaway business is large, but when I was there there were no customers. Attentive, kind, discreet service from the woman, while the man chops fish without pauses at the counter which also serves as a bar. Honest prices (but it is still a restaurant where you mainly eat fish). The place has no heating, which is provided by a couple of efficient mobile gas heaters, so if you want you can keep one nearby. A little too much cooking smell in the dining room (but this is a personal obsession of mine). Asahi beer is good. I was fine. In my opinion it deserves it. Only for people who don't like pomp, unbridled abundance, crowds, noise, the need to leave quickly to make room for others.
