02/11/2025: We spent a wonderful week at the hotel.
The room is tastefully decorated, toiletries in the bathroom. Clean. We had two dogs with us
The area is perfect for morning and evening walks. Dogs can also be taken to the restaurant. The breakfast is wonderful. We also had dinner in the restaurant a few times. The food is delicious
The staff and hosts are also nice and attentive.
If we come to the Dolomites next time, we would love to stay here again.

The property is strategically located in Vodo di Cadore, just steps from Cortina d'Ampezzo and a short walk from the town center. Nestled among the mountains, it's delightful to admire the majestic promontories and meadows.
The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, with exposed wood, high-quality amenities, and that touch of elegance that made us feel right at home.
The cuisine is simply divine! Local dishes are prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the owners are always ready to recommend the best dishes.

21/10/2025: Very kind and attentive staff, good food, interesting selection of breads, but in my opinion the prices are too high... I think the €5 cover charge is really borderline. I'm sorry, but I don't think I'd go back.

Attentive service.
Good and refined dishes, although the portions are a bit small.

03/11/2025: We spent our autumn break in Vinigo, a beautiful village above Peaio. Since it was also a holiday for me, a regular cook, we were thrilled to find such a well-run little restaurant nearby with such delicious cuisine! We enjoyed not only pizza and pasta, but also typical northern Italian dishes! And we did so almost every evening! We were also served by an exceptionally attentive and friendly lady! All in all, it was a truly wonderful experience to eat there at such a reasonable price in such a welcoming, family-run atmosphere!

19/09/2025: So, first of all, my deepest sympathy and respect for those who attempt the refuge (despite it not being a "high-altitude" refuge).
In winter, I think it's difficult due to transportation... and in summer, it's very crowded, since you can also get there by car, with all the inconveniences that entails depending on the type of people arriving.
It certainly doesn't please everyone, that's normal.
However, I was there during a quiet period; the food offering is typical of refuges; I wasn't looking for anything else, but the attention to detail in the dishes should be better controlled.
In my case, the pastin was badly burned on the outside (black), so much so that I had to "fix" it to eat half of it.
I understand a lot of things: family-run? The slightly dated kitchen equipment? Or maybe just a bad day and a poor eye for
what's on the plate?
I'll go back for a tour and reassess.

16/10/2025: Small salesroom for Alpine coffee. The salesperson was friendly and explained the individual varieties to us very well. There are display cases with vintage coffee machines.
A portafilter machine can also be explained, and you can sample espresso.
The room itself could be a bit more appealing, but the explanations and information are more important.
We enjoy coming here to buy coffee.
