04/01/2026: A jewel within the jewel that is Santo Stefano di Sessanio... L'Elisir del poeta makes kindness its mantra, not only in the dishes but also in Andrea's stories and presentations. A fixed menu featuring locally sourced ingredients, all vegetarian and delicious: from a lentil and oat soup reminiscent of grandparents' caresses, to highland chickpeas cooked in milk and rosemary, to roasted primo sale and buckwheat flan. A special mention goes to the handmade gnocchi with amaranth and scorzone, all accompanied by excellent local wines. It would be obvious to say it makes us want to return, but it truly is. For lovers of excellent, authentic food and those who like to feel at home even when away. A wonderful surprise! A warm thank you to Andrea and Barbara for these two hours spent with you!

Locally sourced ingredients, in the truest sense of the word, expertly crafted by Andrea and Barbara. Andrea guides you from start to finish with kindness and professionalism, explaining the products, the ancestral methods, and how Barbara creates the dishes. A Michelin-starred restaurant. 29/12/2025: I didn't visit the rooms, so I can't comment. We only ate at the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the meat was exceptional. Prices were average.

07/01/2026: I looked for a restaurant near the Stiffe Caves for my husband and I and made a reservation. We arrived a little late on a Sunday due to the GPS, but they didn't give away any seats. We had two appetizers, two first courses, a meat-based main course, and a dessert. Everything was delicious, fresh, and made with excellent ingredients. They also have an excellent wine list. The service was excellent, welcoming, and unobtrusive. The location is an old tower and it's beautiful. We're from Rome, but we'll definitely be back to try other dishes.
