02/04/2024: I would like to renew my compliments for the delicious dishes eaten last night. I don't think I've ever eaten such tasty jugged wild boar and the apple pie melted in your mouth. Everything was satisfactory, even the view. I highly recommend this farmhouse to everyone. You will not regret it!

31/03/2024: Good typical Tuscan home cooking. The cured meats, croutons and cheeses are good, the homemade maltagliati with Chianina ragú and artichokes are excellent, and the pork loin with apples and truffles is a nice surprise. Those few euros more than the average that you are happy to spend.

06/04/2024: Stopped in today for a work visit. A place already known and appreciated by the friend with whom we were in company who wanted to share the goodness of the dishes. Ate a 1.8kg Maremma Florentine steak!!! accompanied by 3 beautiful glasses of an excellent still red from the Donna Fittipaldi winery in Castagneto Carducci, land of the only sassicaia. While waiting for cooking, they delighted us with an entrée of cured meats. Divine. Davide, the owner, an exquisite person with whom to have a pleasant conversation together with his kind wife and partner Federico. Top. P.s.: as per the photo published, it is not a place for dietitians, vegans, health enthusiasts, etc. etc. As the logo says "i love ciccia"

13/05/2024: A restaurant of great value, where the exquisiteness of the food is enhanced to an excellent level thanks to surprising, high-quality combinations. The mastery of combining wines with each course is evident and adds a touch of wisdom to each dish.

12/04/2024: Good food, but nothing more. On the other hand, the tuna tartare had no taste, it lacked seasoning.

10/05/2024: We were received with courtesy in a welcoming room, where the sunset over the Tyrrhenian Sea is a perfect backdrop. We chose two appetizers (warm and tuna tartare, good) and a baked turbot with potatoes and artichokes for two (perfect, right portions, but not abundant), four glasses of Vermentino from Bolgheri (honest) and two bottles of water . Flaws: the wait (we were among the first, we entered at 7.30pm and left at 9pm with two courses) and the truly excessive price: We had thought about returning, but given the bill (87 euros each) we changed our mind: what we got although the meal was excellent, even in the knowledge that we had dined in a good quality restaurant, in our opinion it was not worth the price paid.

11/05/2024: Wonderful location among an olive grove. To access, you cross olive trees and find the restaurant surrounded on one side by windows with a large fireplace in the center. Good food but not very good. We took a 1.5 kg maremmana: the fillet part was amazing, the rest normal. Really kind and attentive service.

19/05/2024: Situato a Castagneto Carducci paese, posto gestito a conduzione familiare, piccolo ma molto carino. Nella bella stagione la titolare Monica mette i tavolini fuori, sotto gli ombrelloni. Da lassù un panorama bellissimo da cui si vede il mare. Abbiamo mangiato un primo di tortelli ricotta e spinaci, con noci e crema di pecorino e un primo di tagliolini con funghi porcini. La crema di pecorino fatta da loro la fine del mondo, i funghi congelati(vista la stagione), freschi e buonissimi. Per poco appetito ci siamo presi una tagliata in due, servita con cipolle caramellate buonissime che di solito non mangio mai in altri posti, verdure ripassate e una purea di patate speciale, ovviamente accompagnato tutto con patate al forno, anche queste difficile da trovare buone. Monica ci ha consigliato un vino locale adatto per ciò che abbiamo preso, portato in una caraffa, aveva ragione, molto buono anche questo. Io alla fine ho preso il tiramisù di Monica, TOP! Stavo dimenticando il pane... che io non mangio di solito durante i pasti, fatto da loro e sfornato caldo caldo proprio al nostro arrivo, con il quale ho fatto la scarpetta nel piatto con la crema di pecorino e dopo aver mangiato la carne!! Che dire, io mi sono fatta abbastanza schifo, ma.. cosa meravigliosa, sicuramente per la qualità delle materie, non ho sofferto di pesantezza post pranzo. CONSIGLIO 😃

04/04/2024: We have been to Bolgheri many times but the Tognoni wine shop surprised us! Characteristic atmosphere, amazing food! We absolutely recommend it if you are in the area!

11/03/2024: Posto meraviglioso nella cornice incantata di bolgheri, il cibo delizia anche i palati più raffinati e il vino meraviglioso scalda il cuore. Ci siamo lasciati guidare dal sevizio eccellente di Matteo che ci ha consigliato una carne fantastica; per il vino, il titolare in persona ci ha consigliato un Bolgheri eccellente. Un pasto che vorresti non finisse mai.
