15/09/2025: It was the evening of September 13th, exactly 10 p.m., when three daring adventurers (me and two companions) decided to challenge the unknown gastronomic world of Sortino. Our destination? A 1960s-style pizzeria so out of the way it almost seemed like an urban legend.
The odyssey began as soon as we entered: amidst bewildered glances and packed tables, we finally managed to secure a table like heroes returning from battle. Seated triumphantly, we ordered: two golden fries, a fragrant pizza, two solemn pizzoli. But the wait, alas, was as long as a South American soap opera: biblical times to see the food, so much so that we could have sung a Gregorian chant while waiting.
When the food finally appeared, it was like the apparition of a mirage: excellent food, authentic flavors, generous portions. But here's the twist: the first pizzolo arrived at the table, not cut like a classic round pizzolo, but carved without any earthly geometry, almost a Dadaist work of art. Perplexed and amused, we tackled this culinary conundrum armed with knives and good will.
The staff, despite being entangled in a thousand tasks, were friendly and good-natured, and this alone, given the circumstances, deserved the audience's applause.
When it came time for dessert, we discovered that the dessert kingdom was deserted: no tiramisu, no cassatina, no cannoli to comfort us. Only a pizza with Nutella or pistachio, a sort of mythological creature half gluttony and half cholesterol challenge. We decided, like good, prudent knights, not to tackle it.
And while the innkeeper, with a paternal gesture, offered us the house amaro, we declined, too full for further displays of courage.
Thus ended our epic: a vintage pizzeria with slow service but a big heart, where imperfection becomes color and every wait a story to be told.

21/10/2025: High-quality pizzolo, with quality ingredients and dough. The filancino is also excellent and soft.
Prices are average, and the staff is a bit tart.
It's a shame about the location; it's difficult to find, hidden in the countryside between Solarino and Sortino.
But it's worth it!

08/09/2025: The small shop is run by an elderly lady and her husband. Both were very nice and even spoke German. The food was really good, and the prices were more than fair. The shop is clean, but the ambiance is quite plain and simple. If you're expecting a Michelin-starred restaurant, this is the wrong place. But if you're looking for a small shop with friendly hosts and simple, yet good, affordable food, this is the place.
02/05/2025: Cibo scadente, servizio lentissimo e lunghi tempi di attesa, prezzi alti (guardatevi dalla vecchia quando vi fa il conto) un antipasto per 4 (unico piatto) al prezzo di 4 singoli antipasti, 2 litri di acqua 7 euro.

13/07/2025: Location molto bella , personale gentile , ma la qualità cibo molto sotto la mediocrità ...le cozze erano buone , ma le vongole sapevano di nafta , onestamente immangiabili , e il tonno dell' insalata scadentissimo .
Prezzo giusto , se avessimo mangiato roba genuina e di accettabile qualità , ma non e' stato così ...
12/07/2025: La location è molto elegante e gradevole, cosa che non rispecchia la scarsa comunicazione dello staff e il ritardo di 1 ora e 20 minuti per delle pizze, oltre a svariati ordini errati.

02/02/2025: Siamo stati sistemati in un ala del ristorante ricavata da un appartamento. Può esistere un ristorante pizzeria in centro città, nel 2025, che accoglie i propri ospiti nella stanze di un appartamento privo di qualsivoglia forma di ristrutturazione con tanto di bagno completo di vasca ? E' mai possibile fare cenare i propri ospiti in un simile contesto?
